立地条件はgood

鐘楼からすぐで立地条件は申し分なし。室内も広くてゆったりしていたが、シャワーブースの扉がなくて、回りがベタベタになった。今回、四部屋利用したが　その四部屋とも同様。朝食の地下食堂は駐車場の一角。大したものもなかったので食べていない(RMB15)

Fantastic location, great rooms!

This hotel is in a fabulous location, right next to the bell tower and yet on a side street which makes it quieter. Finding the place was a bit confusing because they use several names for this hotel. They had over booked the rooms so we got an upgrade which we didn't mind one little bit. The beds were comfy and the rooms were large and clean. It was really easy to get around from here. Most places were walking distance (like the city walls, the muslim quarter and the bell and drum tower). To get to the main train station we took a bus which stops on the main street about 50 m from the hotel (the 603 if my memory serves me right). The front desk was really helpful and answered all our questions although they did tend to get stressed out when there were too many customers. One thing that annoyed me was that they didn't sweep the floor when they cleaned it and that we never seemed to have enough toilet paper. They did bring more every time we called and asked for it. There was a small leak in the bathroom and the shower door seemed to be missing, but this didn't bother us.

Center of it all

Arriving at the hotel was a bit of a problem for the taxi man. Unfortunately, he was lost at first and when we called, it was the wrong number that it shows in hotel.com. Make sure you call with the right number before hand and have the address translated in Chinese characters from someone at the airport . The location is perfect as its perfectly centered to the middle of the city for a great price compared to all the other hotels within a 10 block radius. Arriving late (1AM), the security guard opened the door. I was greeted by a friendly staff with enough English to check me in. Going in to the room was plenty of space for the price. Great western type bathroom and shower with quick running hot water and strong toilets. The only problem was that there was wifi but the signal was too weak and my laptop didnt have a wired connection as the room had a wired connection. The wifi would come and go throughout the day but was solid after 11:30pm-4:30AM. Housekeeping was great and no problems. Checkout was a breeze as long as you keep the little paper they give you when you put down the 200RMB deposit. The last little draw back of being in the center of the city is that there is a lot of noise until about 11pm because its a happy and alive city where everyone is outside having fun and shopping since this is directly behind a very large modern mall. The bell tower is about 400 yards or 365 meters walking distance.

This hotel did not seem focused on providing any support to us, and was more interested in Chinese speaking business travellers. While the location was good, and the room clean, the wifi was problematic as we could only get a connection outside of the room down the hall. This meant we were unable to book future travel, research the town or utilise translators. The staff were as friendly as they could be with little English but our time was not used effectively as advice could not be provided and maps of the city were not complimentary.

Hotellet ligger pa en liten tvargata till den stora gatan som man gar pa och letar efter hotellet om man nu inte tar en taxi saklart. Annars var rummet okey. stadningen kunde ha varit lite battre. Sidogatan som hotellet ligger pa var sunkig.
