Room was pretty shabby , needing refurbishment but very clean. The mattress was very soft and could do with replacing. As the room was painted in dark colours it made it feel very small but the lighting over the bed made reading comfortable. The room I had overlooked the outside beer garden which had lights on all night. The shutters did not keep the light out. As a woman on her own I noticed there was no bolt or chain from the inside but I did feel safe. The bar downstairs was really pleasant and I could read there quietly without disturbance. The friendly member of staff brought me another drink when I needed one so it was a very pleasant evening.

Selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. The location was ideal for where we needed to go and it was just a few minutes walk from the train station. The staff were lovely from the moment that we got there. They were so welcoming and friendly.
