This was my first venture in to 'self-service' Hotel check in. Had a little problem entering the house and the room, eventually OK. Had a time figuring out how to re-set the room temp. Room was very clean, well lit. Easy access to small town of Wilmington.
My husband and I stayed her for a weekend in Feb 2022. It was a cozy and quiet location. Plenty of shopping and food near by. Close to Mt Snow. Only minor negatives, parking was across the street in a large parking lot so walking with luggage in the snow was not ideal, and the wifi wasn’t working although we know the hotel had just switched ownership. Again those were very minor inconveniences and would absolutely stay again.
No on site parking. No contact with actual staff, even though many other venues in area had no problem with direct contact between vaccinated people at this time.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The room was not as advertised but it was a Newly renovated room. Had to check in at another property and no staff at our hotel…the bar and sitting area was closed. Was not prepared for the amount of noise from all the trucks throughout the night. Location was good though.
Nice clean rooms in a picturesque inn. GREAT bookstore next door and English-style pub and restaurant/shop across the street. Great diner—Dot’s—a few doors down. Easy drive to Bennington, Brattleboro/Putney, and/or Woodstock, Rutland, and Quechee.
The place was beautifully renovated and a great location. Because it is an old place, there are some things you need to accept when it comes to quirks around things like pipes and temperature control. Being able to walk down main st from a central location made it great to stop by and drop off gifts or to hang out for a bit after lunch.
The property of the hotel itself was great and nestled into the middle of everything. However, parking was in a public lot across the street which was difficult for access with mobility issues. There was a handicapped parking spot next to the hotel, we were told we could technically park there but it was discouraged as the owner only owns 1/3 of the parking spot. There was also no accessible entrance or ramp to get into the building. The room itself was accessible on the first floor and featured grab bars in the bathroom and a shower chair.
Additionally the window latches didn’t seem to work well and there was no deadbolt on the door.
For younger people & Pokémon fans it is situated between three pokéstops and a gym which provided a lot of entertainment.
I’ve stayed at this charming hotel twice and had a very positive experience both times. The rooms are clean and have updated decor. The bathroom was beautiful and had a great shower. The only drawback is you can hear activity in nearby rooms but it was always quiet enough to sleep by bedtime. I would stay here again.
Amazing stay! Vermont house is our favorite place to stay when visiting Wilmington. It’s so close to mount snow and the rooms are always so warm and comfortable
The innkeepers were communicative and easy to reach despite having no staff on site due to COVID-19. Our self check-in was a breeze and our room was clean and cozy. Taking out the sofa bed made the room a bit squishy but at least we had the room for all of us to sleep well. Highly recommended for you to stay here.
The perfect location in the heart of Wilmington. There are several eateries within walking distance. I would want to stay here every time we ski and ride at Mount Snow (7 miles away).
Our room 101 felt like it was newly updated. Everything, including the sleeper sofa and mattress for it, seemed practically brand new.
The mini-fridge was college dorm sized and it ran cold so our food near the top would freeze.
This room was street level and facing the street, so you’d get all the noise from cars/trucks and pedestrians. They provide ear plugs if you need them to sleep at night.
It was just what I expected a quaint country in in the heart of Vermont unfortunately due to Covid a lot of places were closed or had limited hours to visit but all in all a great experience
Visiting during Covid obviously made this a different experience. Nobody at the hotel but it was fine, they just left the room key on the bar. Quaint little spot, but right on the main street. Our room was a little loud when a truck would pass by. Other than that, comfortable, clean and cozy spot.
