Only one of three elevators working. After 6 minute wait we took the stairs. Elevator went to top and only stopped at lower floors on way down already at full capacity. 👎

The staff had a generally annoyed demeanor. First, I arrive to find that there’s no parking. It’s an extra $22 per night. I was misquoted on how much I’d be charged for parking and no one cared to honor the price I’d been given. They also added a $75 deposit to the price. I asked if children were allowed on the rooftop bar, and was told that they were. So me and my kids picked up dinner and brought it up to the roof to eat. We were pretty excited. After we unpacked our food, we were asked to leave because we brought outside food. It didn’t matter that we were paying customers. So I had to pack all of the food back up and take my disappointed kids down to the hotel room to crowd around a desk and an end table to eat our dinner. The pool is small. It only goes to 5ft and it’ll make your skin break out if you don’t bathe with soap immediately after use. Also, there’s no bathroom access from the pool without your keycard to get back in. Incredibly inconvenient. They would only stock one spare roll of toilet paper in the room at a time. We ended up running out on check-out day and had to use tissues. Breakfast is really not good quality. The potatoes are inedible. The eggs are liquid egg. The French toast is not good. The sprite came out of the fountain machine already flat. The glasses are incredibly small. Staff isn’t on top of restocking glasses when they run out, they even run out of the disposable coffee cups too. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am sorry to learn you were not happy with your stay. The parking fees are clearly listed on the hotel website as well as other 3rd party booking sites and I apologize if you found it was not clearly visible. The 75 is the temporary hold which is customary for every hotel and is released at the end of your stay. As far as bringing food to the Rooftop bar, I do believe it is a violation of NC health Department code to bring outside food to any foodservice establishment. I shared your comments regarding housekeeping leaving 1 roll of toilet paper in the room with our housekeeping manager and also informed the director of F&B about the issues you experienced during the breakfast time to make sure those issues are corrected and prevent recurrence. Thank again for your feedback and we hope you stay with us again in the future.

The staff wasn’t friendly at check in. Sounded like I was an inconvenience to her by checking in. They didn’t give us the room we reserved. Wanted river view. But got view of wall of parking garage. There was hair in the shower and the shampoo was empty. For spending as much as we did, was very disappointed. Fact they had “no record” I reserved a river view because the Expedia receipt just says suite only.

I have spoken to our house keeping manager and have used this as an opportunity to express how important it is to have our amenities stocked fully for each guest. I have also reviewed your reservation to make sure we followed the correct steps in assigning your room to match what the reservation says. After further investigation, we did in fact have you booked as a standard view room with 2 queen beds. that does not include a view of the river. if you feel like this was a mistake from what you had reserved, I would reach out to expedia.com directly as they may have made an error on their end. Front desk check-in did not include the complimentary waters nor was there any mention of the amenities, breakfast or the complimentary bar drink. Our room was okay but things like dusting the lamps was not done as an example - not being sensitive about it, just an honest observation. The morning after our first night was met with the sound of hammering and construction which went on for the whole day as the hotel was re-doing the carpet on the floor above ours.. on a weekend... with peak occupancy. Make it make sense. So really our "comfortable" stay wasn't as planned given that you travel a distance in hopes of relaxing at a planned vacation but again the hotel General Manager schedules/plans for this type of hotel maintenance to be performed on a weekend - seriously? There is clearly some great staff, hotel mgmt aside, there are some great frint desk folks like Khaled but certainly not the lady who checked us in as it was more of just getting it done and having us sign the oet waiver - again failing to mention anything regarding amenities or our stay. The housekeeping staff does a good job as I know they are probably overworked so some details will undoubtably get through the cracks. Please take this review into consideration as we've stayed there before and had a world of difference regarding our stay experience at this Embassy Suites.

The location is great with the river walk right there and so many restaurant options, but the rooms are just ok. They need to be updated and brightened up. Our room had a bad smell in it and stains on the floor. It’s way over-priced for what you get. However, the people that work there are very kind and helpful. I would not stay there again though.

Property was very nice. I asked for a wake up call last night there. The girl at the front desk never did it. Parking was easy but you have to pay 22.00 a day which I will not complain about because you get a decent breakfast. Restaurant was vey good we had a great waiter. ( 2nd floor restaurant)

The hotel was great and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The only issues we had was the construction on the floor above us during the day and the house keeping lady knocked on our door 3x before check out time before we left that day. Otherwise was a great stay!
