Beautiful, scenic views from the tower, 15th floor room. Well worth the extra cost. Hotel pool peaceful. The beach club pool is on the beach, good for kids. The food at the Rooftop restaurant, Arie is amazing along with the views. Very nice staff, helpful and professional at all times.

It’s a nice little hotel near Traverse City. I was the only guess there for two days. The room was clean when I arrived. There were no toiletries in the room such as soap or shampoo. I called the front desk to see if I can get some, but no one was at the desk. The hot water was definitely hot. There was nowhere to eat in the room. Given its size, that’s not a surprise. The price was reasonable.

Cozy hotel
This is a wonderful motel. Loved the setting. The room was immaculate and ready for us. My only suggestion would be -- hooks in bathroom to hang clothes - behind door would be the best place. Short bench would be nice too.

Was great for our needs. Aside from a tv that didn’t work at first, a missing light bulb and a refrigerator that froze our food, the unit was clean, beds comfortable, quiet, beautiful sunset at the beach. Staff was responsive to the tv issue. Would stay here again.

Nicely updated motel close to town
The rooms are nicely updated for a Motel. It was cleaned, however the floor trim and corners were dirty with dirt, hair, and dust - more specifically in the bathroom. The bed was a little too firm and at times I felt I could feel the springs. There is a noise ordinance, however, we could still hear our neighbors talking at "normal" volumes - the walls were just thin. The service was great, she was very friendly. They say in the description it is on water, however it is actually a 5 minute walk to the water. Wasn't a big deal for us, I just felt it wasn't described well. Check in/check out was smooth.

Staff was very nice. They called before our arrival to let us know they were 30 minutes behind on cleaning. Location of the inn was very convenient. Our room was clean and very well put together. The fire pt and picnic area was a great addition. Beach access was a quick walk. We will definitely be back in the future.

Room is a bit small but sheets were clean and comfortable. Bathroom is good sized with basic amenities of soap, shampoo, towels. I just noticed though that there were a lot of dust on the heater/ac part and it would be good if they also vacuum that inner coil dust once in a while. I dont have allergies so i am ok. There’s also some smell of smoke or maybe it was just the carpet. I just sprayed my room with my air freshener and opened my door for some time to get fresh air in. My a/c didnt cooled off well on my first night and i mentioned it to the cleaning person outside the next day. She said she will report it to the owner. I guess they did something it cooled well on the 2nd night. Location is good with a walkable private beach access. It was 20mins drive to downtown Tc which is ok with me but if downtown shops, restaurants are your preference this might be not your area.

Very clean! Room was small but comfortable and nicely furnished. Bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom. Only problem was poor internet connection and no tv channels except the basic and occasionally the bathroom sink drain made glugging sounds when we were not using the bathroom. Loved being able to walk ten minutes to a small private beach on Lake Michigan - so relaxing! Manager was very personable and kind. Would stay here again

We booked a 2-night stay here for our anniversary and it was a great experience! Rooms were small, but clean and comfortable! It looks like some remodeling may have been done recently, so keep that in mind if you’re looking at older pictures of the place. Very basic amenities, but we felt like the price was fair, especially considering how expensive other options like AirBNB have become. The staff was friendly and very responsive, and having Traverse City only about 20 minutes away was very convenient! We don’t get up north much, but we’d definitely feel comfortable staying here again in the future should we decide to visit TC again.

The pictures on line were a bit deceptive. The room and bath room is very small and stuffy. The one window with a screen would not open. Kelsey checked me in and could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We really enjoyed the "mom and pop", almost Route 66 like, feel of the Lakeshore Inn. The rooms were newly remodeled, including a barrier free shower, comfortable beds, etc.. The Inn is located less than 2 miles from downtown Elk Rapids. Don't forget to have breakfast at The Ames Street Cafe, a locally owned business.

Rooms were small, we asked for a King and paid for a King, but got 2 queens, hotel was not full, only a few were occupied. Other than that it was nice but not sure it was worth $200 a night. And there was only one regular coffee packet. And office was closed in the morning.

Quiet little getaway with a small private beach, community fire pit and grill. Convenient parking. Close to Traverse City but without all the traffic. Room was very small but comfortable and gave a feeling of being at home rather than a hotel. Will definitely be going back!

We were looking forward to staying here but were slightly misled when we found out this property wasn’t next to the beach (photos are misleading, can take a long walk or short drive to a private beach for residents…) the room was small and cute but our room stayed damp our entire stay. To the point our slides had dew on them the next morning. Our bed felt wet. It was late by the time we got in for the night or else we would have complained to the office, we were hoping when we returned to our room it wouldn’t be but sadly it was. Not sure if the a/c had an issue but the quality and overall stay didn’t total up to the cost we paid for a night stay. The value just wasn’t there for us. We could have stayed downtown traverse city with a pool but we thought we would trade that for the beach. Overall we wouldn’t stay here again. The staff was friendly though.
