Hello,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding a recent reservation. We made a confirmed reservation for Club Wyndham in Williamsburg through Expedia on June 2. We then drove from Delaware on the afternoon of Friday, June 20.
Around 4:00 PM that day, I received both a voicemail and an email stating that our reservation had been canceled. The message provided four options: three comparable resort alternatives or a full refund. After reviewing the suggested replacement resorts, we found them to be significantly less comparable to the resort we originally booked. Given the circumstances, we felt we had no choice but to accept a refund and book a room at a Holiday Inn, which was considerably more expensive.
We are very disappointed with this situation and are unsure whether the error originated with Club Wyndham or Expedia. We would appreciate it if you could look into this matter. As a frequent Expedia user, I am unsure if I will continue to utilize Expedia or book a stay at the Wyndham going forward.
