Don't bring a big car!
I will start by saying that everything the current owner and staff have control over at the Sea Scape Inn was excellent - staff were pleasant and kind, the room and pool area were clean, check in was easy, and there were some great restaurant recommendations for us. However this hotel was SMALL - from the room (admittedly my fault since I apparently booked the smallest one due to price), to the pool, to the cramped and uncomfortable parking. Unfortunately due to how Wildwood is set up, the owners couldn't do anything about this fact so I won't hold it against them. Again this was a cute, clean, pleasant place to stay if the following things are true: You're traveling with just your spouse and 1-2 young children, you enjoy being close enough to walk to the beach, and you have a sedan or small car. Do NOT bring a truck or minivan or even an SUV really. Just don't do it. Your kids will love the pool since its not deep, visible from basically all rooms, and you can send them to go play in the pool themselves as we saw a pair of 10-13 year old siblings doing one of the evenings we were there. The Wildwood Crest boardwalk is just a few blocks away. As long as you aren't bringing a whole army of people in a big old gas guzzler, you're going to have a nice stay here.

Nice staff. I found it odd that we were not given breakfast. That there was a $100 in cash deposit given in case sand and water was left in the room. We had to wait for deposit to be returned we made sure we vacuumed the room before leaving.

Seascape stay
Great hotel to stay for a few days. Price is good for what is being offered. Checkin was good and friendly. The ac unit can get loud when it turns on. Overall I was happy.

This was a very brief trip for business, so unfortunately no time for fun. It was a comfortable place for 2 nights and I would stay there again for a relaxing, quiet weekend and a dip in the pool. I enjoyed a nice walk in the immediate area.

Nice place
We were told that we could check in early to be able to park our car. When we arrived at 1:00, the office was closed until 2:30. We came back at 2:30 but no one arrived at the office until 2:45. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay. Quiet. Clean. Close to the beach.

Hello Mark, Appreciate your thoughts............................. The Sea Scape Inn a Fine Boutique, a Great Destination for Families with Heated Pool and Free WiFi Covering the Total Property. I remember: you had 2 laptops one was connected to the WiFi and one did not for reasons unknown. Also, the WiFi may have been unavailable for a short time to update or for maintenance. Lamp Shade: your early arrival did not allow us time to put the new replacement shade on the lamp but it was completed same day. We were updating several rooms with lamp shades that morning while housekeeping. We should have let you go to your room before 3pm. Dated Rooms: we have updated half of the rooms over the past 2 years and the rest will be soon. Hope to see you again please reserve one of the several updated rooms.

Richard we made it clear to you, prior to your arrival that this motel is not a party house. My motel is for families and mature acting adults who enjoy places that are quite at night with Guest speaking amongst one another, not loud overwhelming banter fueled by alcohol. I care about My Guest

Yes I know you were not happy but the Wildwoods of NJ are addressing the Door Wop Era. There are no national or international named accomendations here with the requirements you had.

Seascape is a great place for our family! The walk to the beach is 1 block. The pool is heated. Although we didn't use, there is an onsite washing machine and dryer. The owner Chris and his staff were very kind and helpful.

We prepaid for one of our nights at The Sea Scape Inn. We had our confirmation from Hotels.com. The wanted their confirmation number. I had to search my computer to find it and send them a picture. We are senior citizens and were required to pay $100.00 in CASH as a security. We have stayed there before and the owner waived the security because we are older. Why cash when they had my credit card number and one night was already paid . I will not stay there again. There are many motels in the same area. I have stayed at a 4-5 star hotel many times other places and they didn't require a confirmation letter at check in. They accepted the Hotels.com reservation number . Today, we couldn't check out until 9am. No one in the office overnight? So we had to wait to get our security deposit back. Signs on the door to not enter if you don't have your confirmation number and many other warnings. The hotel is remodeled and better but customer service and treatment is poor.

We are so sorry for the confusion. We are a 3 star Inn/Motel not a 4 /5 star Hotel. Guest do see the office hours on the door and in the Sea Scape Inn confirmation, early departures pick up their $100 the night before. You were here last summer and you already know this and our confirmation which mentions $100 so there is no Hidden Cash. As was explained, on previous occasions the $100 brings the right kind of families here, this is for the convenience of the other Guest and to assure good night’s sleep and no parties’ way pass midnight. This also brings good people here and if you know Wildwood there are no 5 star motels and 4 star hotels are extremely expensive. People can get noisy, loud and use bad language that we don’t want children to hear. You mentioned that the owner waived the $100 last; please understand that nobody else is authorized to do what the owner can do, I think you know that. However, you’re making the right decision to stay at 4 and 5 Star Hotels in the future, As you know, Safety and Concern for Guest as at the Sea Scape Inn a Fine Family Destination. We will miss you. The price of the hotel was not worth the experience. Our shower did not work. The socket of our bathroom came out while I was trying to use it. The customer service is poor. They have no amenities such as toothpaste. I would say for the price you’re better off somewhere else.

Sorry that you had reason to write and post such an ill intended review. Of course we would have taken care of any of your concerns if you either let the office know or the housekeeper or Luis who is here to assist the Guest if there were any concerns. But you never mentioned it while you were here and it looked like you were really enjoying yourself and were friendly,so I don't understand, but sorry Shriya. I must say that families stayed in your room before you and after you with no complaints about the same room that you stayed in . If you broke the socket then Luis must have fixed it before the next guest. "Toothpaste" Really! Also if you were partying after 11pm then we would have had to ask you to consider the other Guest who are sleeping and if you did not turn down the volume of your voices then you may have met a couple of Wildwood Crest Police officers maybe you didn't like that. My Guest are My Priority. --------------------------------I believe saying "I would say for the price you’re better off somewhere else" is incorrect, it may be more exact to say "better off if I stay somewhere else. Oh, Joel Sorry I wish that you did not have WiFi Issues. I pay extra for a very good Wi Fi signal and it is strong. I'm told that an isolated problem, which this was, is not the WiFi but the problem has more to do with the devices being used. I am not a tech guy and really don't know. but I do know there where/are no other WiFi problems. Joel I will go to the same room and check the WiFi myself thank You, Chris

Oh Olga the comfortable mattresses are new in 2020 and only used for a couple of weeks because of the short season last year. Well cleanliness is the most important thing but beds are very close 2nd. Our One Bedroom Suites have iron and ironing board, hair Dryer and everything. As for the double rooms everything is available at the front desk for free
