Many years ago, we went there with my father-in-law before he passed away. We haven’t been there in years, but decided to give it another try and we were pleasantly surprised how very nice it still is. This time we went with our children and our grandchildren so we had three families there and the children enjoyed themselves, immensely in the pool and in the game room, and of course the boardwalk. We drove to most restaurants and we found parking very convenient.

We stayed at the El Coronado for one night on our way through Cape May. Our room had a nice patio that overlooked the ocean, and was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and pleasant. For the price, this hotel is quite nice.

Great oceanfront stay
Our family of 7 had a great time at El Coronado resort. Our unit # 526 was a little outdated, but clean. Plus, oceanfront! The pool was heated and the hot tub worked - both are very clean. There was a chair rental at the beach, but we didn’t use it as we came with our own chairs and umbrella. We will come back again!

The manager didn't allow me to change my room to a higher floor even though there are vacancy. The reason she gave was that my reservation was from Expedia and hence it wasn't so flexible to change!

Broken elevators, noisy broken refrigerator, toilet mslfunctioned. Cafe staff completely incompetent, rug in room soggy, other guests very loud. Hot tub did not work.

Great place to stay with the family! Kid friendly and a quick walk to the beach. The parking is extremely tight but that seems to be the case for most of the hotels.

The hotel and property were very clean but the location is too far from the beaches where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. Had to drive and pay for parking to use these beaches. The beach at the property location did not have any rental services.

Things were advertised but not available, like food service in cabana, restaurant closed most of time. Parking difficult at times. Noise around pool at night. Refund for services not provided not given. Clean room. Clean pools. No shade. No pool towel.

Thank you for your review! We are working on keeping our restaurant open longer since it is only the first year of our partnership. Parking is a little bit complicated because of limitations of the spots, we do have parking checks to ensure all of our guests have fair parking privelleges. We do sell pool towels in the gift shop on the first floor of the resort and we provide them if you have a cabana with us. We are consistently working on improvements and we appreciate your input. Thank you!

We stayed four nights in June 2023 and enjoyed it. The room was an efficiency with a direct view of the ocean as well as the really nice pool area. Very friendly place and just steps to the beach. While it was an older room, it was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. The only minor suggestion would be for the place to find a better spot for the coffee pot so the cord would reach an outlet rather than guests putting it beside the sink. Breakfast at resort restaurant was very good with friendly wait staff! We are already planning our next stay there and plan on trying the 1 BR suite which we checked out while there! We hope one opens next July with the fantastic ocean view!! Great place and price is hard to beat! We recommend it! Family friendly too with outdoor movies weekly.

The property was beautiful, great views from both rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful, check in and out was very easy. The rooms didn't have bed blankets or adequate seating or lighting in living area though. And there were no outlets in the bathroom or vanity area for getting ready.

We arrived by 8:30pm so unfortunately, we were unable to use the pool, but it did look nice. Because this was off season, they did not have even coffee available. They told Greg he needed to drive to WaWa two miles down the road. After we left, we resumed our trip to Cape May.

Where to start? The heat wasn't working ... that would've been a nice piece of information to know beforehand considering the temperature outside plummeted for the weekend. The people working check-in were incredibly rude. The room was dirty and in DIRE need of updating ... there was peeling paint, rust on metal furnishings, a bad seal on the sliding glass door ensuring a deafening whistling noise all weekend (Hurricane Ian was coming through). While trying to haul our luggage to the car from the 3rd floor, the elevator wasn't working. Why? Because the cleaning staff was holding it open on another floor (this happened several times throughout the weekend). On Sunday morning at 7am maintenance began on the room directly above ours ... power tools, yelling etc. In short, this property needs a LOT of TLC from the owners. And for now, I would urge people to stay ANYWHERE else in Wildwood Crest.

I general,it was a pretty nice place to stay.
Our stay there was pleasant but the beds were so hard,we couldn’t sleep. The elevators were a pain to find one that was working. The Free WiFi was a BIG joke! Never worked. The TV wasn’t even in HD and the remotes hardly worked. The TV in general was not easy to navigate.

The hotel was clean and quiet. It is in a good location. The pool area was nice and the access to the beach is convenient. We like the private balconies which is unusual for hotels in Wildwood Crest.

Nice and newly renovated - but none of The elevators worked!! 😫 and we were on the sixth floor. This was frustrating when we were bringing up our luggage. Pools are nice - kids pool, regular pool, and hot tub all available. Housekeeping doesn’t wash dishes for you so You may want to pack a sponge or pack paper plates if you plan on cooking there.

Staff was terrible and nasty. Elevators were out entire stay and we were on 6th floor. Price is ridiculous, very low ceilings, toilet was broke, balcony railing is rotting and unsafe… I would not recommend this hotel to anyone it’s very old and outdated.
