The staff were very considerate, giving out multiple tips for travel and trains. Breakfast was good and staff always cleaned my room, it was a great experience.
the owner and son went way out to help with anything:arranging rides to places we requested, etc .we had 8 dinners at the restsurant- the meals were gourmet! By total luck we found the best small hotel with the most helpful ,friendly staff.I highly recommend it. annemarie schweitzer

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Older property. We stayed in room 39 for 6 days in early June 2024. Narrow stairways to get to upper floors. Overwhelming deodorizer smell upon entering the room. Quaint. Breakfast staff excellent and menu was static and predictable. Price was high for being an older property in need of remodeling.
Removed deodorizer sticks. No air conditioning. Opened windows for fresh air.
This was a superb property. Family owned and operated. Food was delicious. One of few places in Switzerland that has parking available. Would highly recommend.
This is a 400 year old building - no elevator, no A/C, rooms are small, but comfortable and clean and it is a charming local property. It is a bit of a walk from the train station with suitcases so keep that in mind. We ate in the bistro and found the food and the service to be lovely. There was a delicious and varied breakfast buffet.
This was a quaint, traditional alpine lodge. Bedding was comfortable, shower was great, food in the restaurant was top notch. Hotel is located 10 minute walk from the train station.
A beautiful historical hotel with wonderful staff, easy to find, free parking and close to all the local attractions. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We had an amazing dinner in the restaurant but make sure you book as it is, not surprisingly, busy.
Lovely place. Very cozy. I would recommend to anyone.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Property is clean and in a safe area. Buffet breakfast options are somewhat limited but adequate. Restaurant and bar was closed but there are other options nearby. Several miles from town center and train station.
Clean quaint rooms with very friendly staff. The washroom was very small and the shower curtain was too short to reach the lip of the shower so I had to wipe the floor every time I showered

The property is old so wooden structure makes noise and no /AC.
Hotel is isolated from the city so transportation back and forth is very expensive ( taxi) o distant ( public transportation station is 14 min wait walking!

Not great not terrible
The hotel is quite old and the ceiling was really low both hallways and room. We’ve got the tiniest room from the hotel even though we’ve booked in advance.
I really liked the location, 3-4 minutes from the bus station. The breakfast was ok, but not too various.
You could hear from your room noises from the hallways starting from 7 am.
We also tried to rent some bicycles but the front desk could not gave us as someone would not answer the phone.
Our hotel room was divided for a 3rd person, which made our room horribly small. When the bathroom door is open, the front door hit it when you come it. The smallest room/ bathroom for certainly not a small price.
The first day the gentleman offered us coffee. On the second day we asked for coffee and hot water with a tea bag and after several minutes we were asked if we want the 9 Francs on our hotel bill. Seriously??
The hotel looks very nice from the outside and there were 2 friendly employees ( one in the breakfast room), but everyone else couldn’t care less about our stay.
When my husband checked out, he was told “ok”. Really ? Where we come from, the hotel personal would ask if we had a nice stay and would wish us a good trip.
We would never stay here again and would not recommend it to our friends. Way overpriced for staying in a closet size room:(
