Beautiful view

Our visit was short and sweet as we were travelling through to another destination. The highlight was the morning sunrise with a beautiful view of the lake. I probably expected a different feel to the hotel but perhaps it was because we arrived late. We ran a bath but had to drain it because it had a dirty rim from previous use. It wasn't obvious until the water was in the bath along with floaties. Overrall, our stay was ok. The hosts organised a shuttle out for dinner which was nice since we had been driving all day.

Great Views

Brilliant views and lovely hosts make this an excellent choice for a stay in Wilderness. Our room looked a bit tired and there is nothing within walking distance, but if you want peace and quiet in a beautiful location then look no further.

This lodge is located on a hill with beautiful views of Island Lake. Let's start with telling my expierences from beginning to end. The lodge has it's own automatic fence and the first time time you'll need to push a button to come in. The parking area is a bit tight, but it works more of less. Then the owners came to me and gave me a nice introduction of the facilities and also about the interesting wildlife around the lodge. If you are lucky (or not) you can see a snake, or you can watch one of the owner's cats, they are very cute. The owners are German, and so do a lot of the other guests. So if you are from Germany you'll have great time here for sure, but I think everyone can like something about this lodge. The Wifi is kinda slow and most of the time unavailable in the room. It works okay in the living area downstairs. They say it's a 4,5 star lodge and for me personally it wasn't a complete 4,5 star experience. I would rate is a 3 star lodge, based on slow WiFi (maybe typical for a 'luxury' lodge though), furniture/interior that is kinda old (especially the television) and based on it's overall appearance and feeling.

Lovely location, great view from the room, friendly owners that were very helpful. Great breakfast. View of stars from the balcony in evening was superb.

Fabulous honeymoon room

After a rocky start we had a really wonderful stay. Absolutely amazing room. They even arranged for the spa to open early for us do that we could both have massages. Thank you!

Outstanding!

Lodge on the Lake is a great place to stay. Rooms, staff, view are all superb. If you plan on visiting the area, do yourself a favour and book here. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for three nights and our only regret was that it was not for longer.

Spectacular views

This is a very elegant home designed so that every room takes in the breathtaking views of the lagoon it overlooks. The rooms and bathrooms are large and well furnished. It was actually chosen as the setting of the Finish version of ' The Bachelor ' a few months ago. The hosts Martine and Klaus make you feel very welcome. Very good breakfasts.

Einfach schön

Super schöne Unterkunft zum entspannen und genießen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes großas Zimmer mit einem traumhaften Blick auf einen kleinen See. Einfach schön.

Beautiful setting. Gem needs a bit of polish

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful spa session with my wife. Rooms are getting tired. Breakfast needs an over haul. Good value. Beautiful surroundings!

Nice experience!

We only had one night, but it was a delightful stay. We went for a spa couple treatment which definitly can be recommended! The breakfast was good too and the view to die! Only negative thing was that the pool was being renovated, and we were not informed by this until arrival. Super welcome by incredible staff though.

Relax-Hotel im Wilderness

Leider war es regnerisch an dem Tag, aber das Hotel liegt herrlich gelegen mit super Blick auf die Seen des Wilderness-Parks. Die Spa-Räumlichkeiten (die wir bei dem Regentag nutzten) sind sehr sauber und angenehm, die Massage war sehr entspannend zu einem vergleichsweise günstigen Preis. Das Frühstücksbuffet war überschaubar, aber ausreichend und qualitativ lecker - die üblichen Eierspeisen, wie in fast allen Hotels und Unterkünften. Das Personal war freundlich und das Hotelzimmer sehr groß und gemütlich, das Bad modern und geräumig, der Balkon des Zimmers leider wegen des Wetters nicht wirklich zu benutzen. In ca. 5 Minuten ist man in Wilderness Zentrum mit seinen Restaurants und Bars. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
