"We booked this hotel just for an overnighter to visit our grandson who attends CWU.
The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and a delight. She let us check in about an hour early.
When we walked in the room you could tell immediately that it was not completely cleaned. The carpet had wrappers on it. The bathroom sink had coffee poured in it. It was obvious it had not been cleaned at all. On the bright side, there were fresh towels. The pillow cases on the bed had dark hair all over them. Which looked like dog hair. When we pulled the covers back on the bed, you could tell the sheets were not changed from the last guest. We had to have housekeeping come in to change the bedding.
When we returned to our room that evening, we opened the pull out couch. There were no linens on it. We had to call housekeeping again. When they came to our room with the linens, the person just handed it to me with no offer to make up the couch for us.
This hotel is perfect for a stay if you're visiting the college or a student on an overnighter or a couple of days.
If it weren't for the linens and the sink, I would've given 5 stars. Instead, I gave it 3."
"I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Icon Inn. I booked a room and ended up wanting to change to the day before and was completely accommodated with no extra charges. Loft room was perfect for the family, kids watched a movie from upstairs while we saw it downstairs. I also left my tablet in the room and they were very helpful in getting it to me. Things are automated (no front desk clerk) but staff quickly responds to any questions. Thanks for the great, clean stay."
"The associate was very put off that I booked my stay through Hotels.com. A “third-party payer”. The hallway light shone through the door jam of my room. The room was not dark. It was lite up because of the hallway light coming through the entire door jam, top sides, and bottom. My room was next to a mechanical room and I heard squeaks and grinds all night long. And the pillows were as flat as pancakes no support there was four of them every single one of them were flat. "
