We loved the welcome gift that awaited you when you entered the room. The breakfast was great, there was an expanse of choice and you helped yourself. The bed was so very comfortable and a great size. The room was quiet and the shower was really good. Would definitely visit again.

Clean, spacious, comfortable room.

We stayed in an Executive room for the second time whilst visiting family. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. We were provided with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and crisps. We had forgotten our toothpaste but were able to get a small complimentary pack from reception. It didn't matter to us but we did notice that the only coat hangers were above the room safe so there was nowhere to hang dresses if you had some with you. There was a higher hanging rail without hangers so maybe you could get spare hangers from reception. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay - travelled from NZ. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast options awesome and include gluten free which was great as a coeliac. Good value for a short stay. We used as a base as visiting family in the area. Plenty of free parking. Would definitely recommend. Not luxurious but homely and comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay. Room was very comfortable, tidy and stocked each time I did have it serviced. My only complaint was with the windows, my room was ground floor and facing the car park, there were some nights it was noisy and hard to sleep through, and you can tell the windows are not new. Otherwise really cannot fault the hotel, clean, modern and a great shower!!

Like Fawlty Towere, without the comedy

Checked in at 4pm to be told I hadn’t paid for breakfast, which I had. I had to prove to reception that I had paid up front. The male receptionist was very random, and started telling me about another Holiday Inn in Leicester where paint is coming off the doors or something! In the evening I was about to get in the shower when a random man walked into my room with his bags, telling me that was his room! He left, and I went to reception, where they didn’t apologise, just said there had been a mix up. At 10pm I’d just switched everything off to go to sleep, then my phone rings. It’s reception telling me they were expecting me to check in from 3pm and asking where I was. Really, really poor service. I stay in hotels 3/4 nights each week, and I’ve never experienced anything as dreadful as this.

The staff are very friendly — Basin was excellent, especially since he allowed us to check in early, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Hotel is finished to a good standard. Good facilities in the hotel in terms of dining / bar but not very much nearby (1/2 mile walk into Wigston, 1 mile into Leicester). The only real drawback was the standard of service at check-in. The member of staff was disinterested. That said, we would stay here again.

The air conditioning unit was leaking. The drip drip of water prevented us having a good night's sleep. The room was just a bit too small for a family of four. Other than that, everything was okay.
