Absolute nightmare.....resort closed its facilities during our stay. Included daily breakfast not offered or refunded as kitchen and staff closed. No cleaning of rooms. Skeleton staff could not assist. Checked out to another resort at own expense with no partial refund offered at all. Terrible experience....AVOID .... Really too bad because location is ideal. ..

Great & Comfy Resort

Phuket Panwa is a great hotel in a quiet and scenic location. A stretch to call it 5-stars, but it would certainly make a great 4-star hotel. The rooms were dated, but very comfortable. When you have sea facing rooms, just know there's high & low tides. When it's high tide, the view is scenic and serene, takes your mind away from reality. The breakfast buffet has a great selection of your usual international and local fares. The small private beach could certainly do with some garbage pick ups, but it could also be a case of hotel guests that don't pick up after themselves. We enjoyed ourselves very much during the 3 nights there and would certainly stay at the resort again as it's only 15-20 mins away from Phuket Old Town by taxi.

J’ai conclu avec l’hôtel qui viendront nous chercher à notre arrivée à l’aéroport mais personne ne s’est présenté. Nous avons du attendre une heure de temps et pendant ce temps je les ai téléphoné plusieurs fois pour savoir ce qu’il en était et m’ont répondu que le chauffeur venait de partir pour nous prendre ce qui aurait pris encore ~ quarante cinq minutes d’attentes. Nous avons décidé de prendre un autre taxi que celui que nous avons organisé avec l’hôtel. À notre arrivée la directrice de la réception de notre hôtel souhaitait nous faire une compensation de la course du à la non présence de notre taxi, au lieu de mille deux cent bath elles voulaient nous faire à mille bath pour le trajet retour de l’hôtel à l’aéroport (deux-cents bath = ~ cinq). Pour une attente de une heure quarante cinq après un long courrier de quatorze heure ce que nous avons trouvé pas commercial de leur part comme compensation. Quand nous sommes arrivés dans notre chambre nous avons constaté qu’elle n’était pas propre, Voir les photos ci-dessous. Si je devrais donner une note avec objectivité elle serait de quatre sur dix L’emplacement de l’hôtel est magnifique avec la vue qui est accompagné et un endroit très calme et reposant. Cependant la nourriture nous est venue également tied-froid.

The pool access room was pretty nice expect it does not explain on Expedia that it is a two story loft and the food selection is pretty limited. They have the design and makings of a five star resort but fall short. We were overcharged and received an email promising our refund over one month ago and still have not received it. The staff were polite and the area is quiet. It is quite a distance from Phuket town where all the shops, restaurants etc are located. It could have been better and we are still waiting on the refund promised.

Do NOT stay here. Believe all the reviews that tell you this place is FAR from everything, not a real beachfront, moldy and smelly. My friends and I planned to stay for a week and had to check out after 2 days bc it was so bad. The lobby looks great but once you get to the rooms it’s a no go. There were 3 of us and each of us got our own room. We were told we got ‘upgraded’ but that was a lie bc the only good thing about our rooms was the sunrise/sunset view but balcony was rusty. Upon entering our rooms there was a strong moldy smell, in each of our rooms! We figured it would go away but nope! Had to keep the ac at 20C to try and keep the smell at bay. The ac automatically shuts off when you open the balcony doors so we couldn’t even air it out. The smell stayed and it was strong. My friends room was the worse! Mold on the headboard and picture frame above the desk. I had literal cobwebs on top of my headboard. I will say the breakfast buffet was good and the dinner was decent. BUT there was A LOT of flies flying around inside the dinning hall. This is not walkable to anything so be prepared to spend money on taxis to get around. And the ‘beach’ is not a real beach. The grounds were not kept up. Basic things like trash by the pool, beach and balcony. I typically don’t leave negative reviews but I want to spare anyone else from wasting their money here bc you will definitely be checking out early if you do. Nothing about this place is luxury. More like a motel than a hotel.

The only thing I liked was the staff. The hotel was old, far from everything, ugly neighborhood, old, depressing, needs a lot of renovations and painting. Looks mot taken care of. I just left the second night. The beach side is an ugly swamp. I decided to loose the money of three more nights and move to another hotel. It was the best decision ever. J W Marriot Phuket Resort & Spa. 10 stars out of 5 at $165 per night. Early checkout from the Phuket Pawna was the best money I ever lost!!!!!!!!

Great but needs to improve.

Lovely hotel and the current staff are very courteous. But the hotel is understaffed. Felt a bit dead, and no liveliness in the place. It has great potential and scope for improvement. The amenities are old. Needs upgrading. The towels were old, needs to be changed.

Phuket Panwa Beachfront Resort

I had a great stay at this hotel! The receptionist was always available and very helpful. The view is fantastic, especially with the pool and beach right in front of the hotel. The only small issue was the spa availability – I had an amazing session and wanted more, but couldn’t book additional appointments. It would be great if the pool and spa hours could be extended from 8 AM to 10 PM instead of the current 8 AM to 8 PM. Also I wanted a villa with the beach view if I had been explained the charges of upgrading my room I would have done it.

The beach was a mud flat at low tide otherwise the place was great the staff was great and they were very friendly and helpful to us we were thinking ther was more city near by so we were not able to walk to it

Dejligt hotel

Vi havde en dejlig familie ferie med børn, børnebørn og svigerbørn i aldrene fra ½ år til 62 år. Dejlige børne venlige pools. Gode drinks og betjening. Gode aktiviteter til børn og voksne. Ikke turistet område. Rigelige flasker med vand på værelses, hver dag. Eneste lille men, der var ikke udskiftning i menu kortet i de 14 dage vi var der. Morgenmaden var rigtig god. Alt i alt et rigtig godt sted at holde ferie.

Pros: the resort is very nice, entrance and lobby are beautiful, the main is pool large, the view of the bay is spectacular. Staff are courteous and most can speak a bit of English. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and is geared to both Asian and Western palates. Cons: dining choices are very limited, only one restaurant is open right now for breakfast/lunch/dinner and not much else within walking distance from resort. You will need to get a taxi, grab, bolt to get anywhere on the island. Resort is going through a “soft reopening” stage and most bars and other venues are closed. The second pool is also closed. No entrainment staff for any daily or nightly activities or shows. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and clean. Overall price versus quality is ok and I would stay there again if I wanted something private and quiet.
