Climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey's haunting ruins where Bram Stoker found inspiration for 'Dracula.' Explore the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and book a whale-watching trip from the historic harbor during summer months.
Only thing wrong was we didn’t stay long enough. We loved this little cottage. It’s a beautiful little home away from home. Whitby was fantastic as well. Wish we’d known ahead of time how much we would love it so we could have booked a longer stay.

Good staff, very helpful. Very good breakfast. Dinner very good though note restaurant seating much better than tables in the bar; we got stuck with noisy bar table for dinner due to late booking. Rooms very nice, newer shower fittings.

This hotel is really special. Great Victorian ambiance. Amazing view of the abbey and bay. Do not expect TV but wifi is good. Loved the all antique decor.

This property is so fun! Your room is above a really cool, esthetic vintage bar. We had the top room and it was pretty big. You couldn’t hear any of the people downstairs just the delivery people and trash collectors, outside. The views from the windows look out to a big ship/restaurant. It’s also a stones throw from the train station.

Absolutely lovely and spacious suite! We truly appreciated the snacks and breakfast items available in the unit. Everything was comfortable and to our liking. The only negative was not being able to leave our windows open due to the significant cigarette smoke coming from the open air patio directly below our unit. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The staff were absolutely delightful! So friendly and kind. The inn owner’s dogs were also adorable, I think every inn should have a Nellie and Molly :)

My third time staying at the Wilson Inn. Always a very welcoming hotel in a great location on the North York moors. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and maintained. Bar, which always has a warm feel, has good selection of food & drinks (local beers) - with restaurant seating also available. Highly recommended.

This hostel is in a huge house on the grounds of the amazing ruins of the Whitby Abbey. The view is spectacular. You can hear the ocean waves. To get to town, you walk past an old church and cemetery and down a long, old, curving set of stone steps that give you a beautiful view of the city.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and on hand 24 hours a day. The breakfast was £5, and was an unlimited buffet with traditional full English breakfast foods and pastries, cheese packets, yogurt, and...
