Basic accomodation but good value, close to town, comfortable and clean. I had breakfast and dinner in Settlers restaurant and it was very good. Wayne the manager is a gentleman and very helpful. No complaints, I would stay here again.

I always enjoy Settlers even though it has been in Whangarei for many years. The rooms are still comfortable but road noise can be loud but dies down at night. Food and service was good and I enjoyed dinners in my room. I would certainly stay here again.

I chose the cheapest room for a quick overnight stay, was surprised it was so comfortable. The bed was snug and the shower was good. Everything was very clean and tidy, plus plenty of safe parking.

The Settler’s Discovery Motel was a fantastic stay. The room was great, wonderful service with friendly staff, and great food. It was also a short walk to the Whangārei waterfront, and all the fabulous restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend this motel, and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Convenient and comfortable

A great option in Whangarei as it is not in the centre of town although it's very close to the Town Basin. Surrounded by lots of lawn and trees. Great service and a reasonable restaurant. Comfortable room and a good shower.

Last minute booking. Friendly receptionist on arrival. Great room layout, big bed, fantastic breakfast with helpful and friendly staff. Only negative was other guests who smoked outside their room near ours, and the smoke smell came into our room.

Great friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately some of the rooms could do with updates. The smooth edge on the carpet is sharp and digs into your feet.
