Myself and 2 children had a lovely stay at The Cumberland. It has a great location across from the beach and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were very welcoming. The breakfast has a great choice, it is plentiful, cooked fresh and tasty. We parked in the train station car park as it was cheaper for an overnight stay and not as busy as the 'tourist' car parks. It was approx. 5 minute walk via a pedestrian footpath.

The rooms was very well maintained and were cleaned during the times we went out. The owner was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic it was cooked to order and if you didn't want that, then there was a continental breakfast available too. The location of the hotel is ideal for those who want a close proximity to the beach and the town centre. If we are in the area again for another few nights stay, then we would return!

I can't fault the Hotel except for the large number of stairs to climb. we were on the second floor At 68 I had not anticipated the climb everytime I went back to the room. I must add the Breakfast was good but yet down more stairs This must not be taken as a bad review but I would urge others to take this comment into consideration

Helaas geen eigen parkeerplaats bij hotel, maar genoeg gelegenheid in de buurt. Erg vriendelijke gastheer en erg schoon, fantastisch ontbijt en uitzicht over het strand en zee.

In my opinion The Cumberland is a jewel. So so clean. Cleanest hotel l have been in for a very long time. The breakfast. Spoiled for choice. There was something for everyone. The bathroom and bedroom spotless. Amenities in the room were good and plentiful. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits. I have already booked in for next year. I think that is recommendation.
