「Frequently stay in the Fairplay area for work and the Hand hotel has been by far the most enjoyable place to stay. The other option (Riverside Inn) has always been extremely noisy and the staff don't seem to care much about customer concerns. The Hand hotel staff were excellent and it was convenient having the cafe down-stairs... just be aware it isn't open every morning, but there are other options close by. It is a historic building so keep that in mind when booking.」

「Loved the wooded property so close to Lake Dillon. Individual buildings with rooms gave the property a very unique camp vibe. Would love to stay in the summertime.」

「The beds had dog hair or some type of curly hair on both of them sheets smelled like feet but the front office did accommodate me other than that not a bad spot to hang out if passing by btw use your own Netflix account to log in and make sure to log out 」

「It has nice view to the forest and you would be able to see the sunrise in the morning which is beautiful. The outdoor hot tub is supposed to be closed at 10pm, but people are still using it and making noises at night. We told the front desk about it, but they said the whole deck area is a common area, they couldn't do anything about it. This's weird that they have a rule to close the pool at 10pm but no one is forcing it.」

「Outstanding property perfectly located with a stunning view of the mountains. Easy to get in and out of by vehicle. A few minutes drive to groceries, shopping and slopes. 」

「Parking with a truck and snowmobile trailer was horrible. I called the hotel in advance before booking and asked about parking. I was told they have bus and truck.trailer parking on site. This was NOT true! The lot is small and there were 10 abandoned cars also taking up spots making matters worse. If the person would have tols the truth I would never have stayed here! The hotel itself is worn out and well used. The front staff were all rude and one guy was only interested in watching his...

「They let me reserve the room at 10pm, then after the payment went through they sent me a message stating check is between 4-7pm if you want to check in later you have to give the 72hr notice and there os NO front desk and no one will be back in office til 9am the next day! So why would you let me make a reservation of there is no way to get into the room?」

「I actually don’t have any issues with the property. It was very adequate. The problem was Expedia made a mistake and double booked us. when I told the property manager this. They chose to check us into all four rooms anyhow and charged us resort fees for all four rooms even though they knew we only booked two rooms and the other two were a mistake. They then refused to refund any of the resort feees or charges.」
