"The facilities are new and beautiful. They overlook the small crater lake Munyanyange which hosts birds year round and lesser flamingoes in July/August. The staff are excellent. The chef is superb! Very close to a gate for Queen Elizabeth. Staff helpful in arranging tours and walks as desired. An up and coming location, I believe. It can be hard to find initially as Google maps doesn’t have the back roads of Katwe, only the main road. If a sign goes down, you will need to ask directions...

"My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....

"We enjoyed the seclusion and views of the lake. Morning boat trip to Nyombe swamp was fabulous - great to set off in mist and see sun rising then clear- good birds to see in swamp area Food good and service excellent Intermittent electricity in room bit frustrating and need to run shower for 10 minutes before any hot water. Wi-Fi only in main reception / restaurant area "
