The location of this property is great and it is a large property on a small beach. Exterior looks great but the interior of the room we stayed, junior suite left a lot to be desired. Outdated and very basic. Kind of like lodge accommodations. Bathtub/shower was very quirky to use and outdated. Now I can’t vouch for the condition of other higher priced rooms but this was ours. Nice bar area and restaurant area. Food was average. Indoor swimming pool and exercise area were nice. Staff very friendly. Overall nice stay but a bit overpriced for the rooms in comparison to their condition. Especially since we were off season

I love staying at Water’s Edge! The property is beautiful, the views are stunning and the staff are consistently excellent. The spa services are top notch and you can tell they put lots of thought into guests enjoying their stay.

Clean and well maintained resort. Nice spa facilities. Outdated pool and locker room facilities. Reasonable food options. Older rooms but comfortable. Staff never really went the extra mile - save for Amy at the front desk. Everyone else seemed to be slightly bothered to be there. We went in March - so maybe the summer staff are better?

I was surprised that rooms were not cleaned daily. We did have cleaning staff check with us late afternoon of our 2nd day to ask if we needed new towels or other supplies. They should put a note in the room as to when service will be provided.

The room was crazy hot! Had the thermostat at 64 and it was still really hot. Water pressure in the shower was so low it was hard to rinse off. Was at this place years ago and very happy, but don’t see going back any time soon.

The hot tub was gross. Had brown stuff floating in it. The pool was cold even though it’s heated. The hotel could use some updating in the rooms but for the price it was average.

The property is beautifully located in Westbrook CT. However, the rooms are dated and not what was expected. We also were surprised the exterior doors to the hotel buildings were not locked and were accessible by anyone.

I have been a regular at Waters Edge and Spa for over a decade. I always book the ocean view Villa for gathering with family and friends. It is quite an impressive set up. And everyone always has an amazing time. Whether they are walking on the beach, playing board games in front of the fireplace, checking out the nearby outlets, or just sitting on the patio watching the sunrise. I’ll see you all soon!

Although the scenery was beautiful, the service was average and our room had issues. Our toilet did not flush properly and overflowed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and our carpet was dirty. For $280, we expected so much better. When we brought our concern to the receptionist, she told us our room was already discounted as if that was all we deserved. She also told us there was nothing she could do for us. Very disappointed as this was getaway for my fiancé’s birthday and our stay was sub standard at best.
