"My wife and I recently stayed at Le Basilica Addis Hotel, Apartments & Spa, and we will definitely return. The apartments were very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The waitresses were exceptional, and while the team is naturally welcoming, further training for the management and front desk would elevate the service to a truly elite standard. The property features a nice Italian restaurant, and we were spoiled with a wonderful breakfast that included everything from fruit salads to...

"When I arrived at the hotel, they had no record of my booking. When I informed them that I had booked on hotels.com, they said that's not possible since they had stopped doing all online bookings a year earlier. I was so tired, confused, and unable to get hold of hotels.com. Afterall, my room was paid and confirmed. I asked them if I could just pay out of pocket for the night, just so I could sleep and then sort out the issue with hotels.com the next day. I got a room with no space, leaking...

8/10 Good

"Overall, this is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Addis Ababa. The staff are excellent, the hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious, and breakfast offers a good variety of choices. However, there are a few areas that need attention to bring the hotel up to the standard its other facilities and services suggest. The parking garage is quite tight, making it difficult to enter and exit comfortably. Improving the accessibility and maneuverability of the parking area would be helpful. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower at the beginning of each use. It seemed to be related to the plumbing, possibly connected to the toilet drainage system. I had to run the water for several minutes before the smell subsided. The staff kindly offered to change my room, which I appreciated. However, after speaking with another guest who was experiencing the same issue, I declined the offer, as it appeared to be a more general plumbing problem rather than an issue specific to my room. I recommend that the hotel investigate and address the underlying cause. There is very little space in the bathroom to place toiletries and personal items. The gap between the washbasin and the wall could be used more effectively by installing a small shelf or a simple wooden or plastic platform. The spa and sauna facilities seem to have been treated as an afterthought and are not maintained or managed to the standard expected of the hotel. The shower area is poorly maintained,"
