It is a viewing point with about a dozen holes through the top stones aligned to frame landmarks on the 360 degree horizon, with lovely industrial looking metal 'eyepieces' bearing the names of what you are looking it. Tegg's Nose hill is the site of a disused quarry that operated from the 16th century until 1955.
