Hello. We are an eco-hostel. Of course there are going to be hippies here. We apologize for anything that we may have said or done to you that made you feel uncomfortable, however you were not SCOLDED for being on your phone. We simply asked you to observe the two rules for guests: no smoking indoors and no technology in the common area. We DO offer towels, and we make sure to point out where they are located (in a basket located in our INDOOR shower facility) at the beginning of the tour of the property. There are no trash cans in the rooms, as we are an eco-hostel, and promote the motto "leave no trace." We have trash bins at the farmhouse. The outdoor hot water heater is more than capable of handling 4 people showering, so I'm not sure about the cold water. We had a full house the weekend that you were here and nobody else brought this to our attention. The doors DO shut all the way, you just have to pull them shut as they are huge, heavy doors. This prevents drafts. The clothing optional area of the property is our clay lagoon where people swim, it isn't some random section of the woods where people run around naked. We're truly sorry that you didn't enjoy your brief stay, but as a staff we agree that your review is not reflective of the experience provided to other guests. The grounds are much nicer looking, and more accurate to what is advertised, when the tours are given prior to 1am (which was when you arrived). Our office is open from 10am-8pm, so our staff members stayed up very late to show you around, and then you left without saying a word to us or asking for clarification on any of the things that you waited to post about online. Regarding your comments about the layout of the grounds, there is a compost toilet about 10 yards away from the guest house in addition to the one that is 100 yards away as well as more modern plumbing in the communal farm house that is generally populated by guests and staff during our normal business hours. The shower house is a separate structure, you are correct, however we do not advertise our rooms as having individual bathrooms. We ARE a Hostel, as our name dictates, so we apologize if you misunderstood what you were getting into (a communal environment). I hope that wherever you stayed after abruptly leaving our company was more suitable to your needs. Have a nice day.

We do apologize about the issues with the other guests. When did the incident occur? We don't pick up the phones after 8pm because our office is closed for the day. Regarding the issue with the cleanliness of the room, none of our staff were notified of an issue during your stay, so while we apologize for the inconvenience, we wish you would have said something in person so that the situation could have been fixed.
