"The breakfast is buffet style, a couple of options to order something different, eg porridge or boiled eggs. A good selection on the buffet, although no continental options. The dinning area is very spacious & there were plenty of staff available. On 2 occasions there was a noise of a vacuum cleaner nearby, which caused a bit of a disturbance. We only used the bar area one evening, but it was comfortable. "

"The food was good although not hot at times, the winter dinner menu was acceptable but not to our taste. The hotel was completely dog friendly, slightly dated in places but we would stay there again."

"Our first stay and we’ll definitely be back, all staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Car park easy to access, breakfast excellent with attentive staff. The bar of an evening has a very inviting atmosphere and Steve the bar manager is a fine host and keeps a super pint of Feathers Best! Accommodation and housekeeping very good. We’ll be recommending The Feathers to our friends"

"We were not able to check in as there was a problem with the room. We were not notified before arriving at the property, despite receiving a revised room number/check in info on the morning of our expected arrival. Communication was not great, and whilst we were provided another alternative accommodation, I have not heard back from the hotel since. "

"Although the hotel has the status Manor it was a bit tired in some areas. The breakfast area needed to be stocked up a few times and ran out of a couple of things. Staff mainly helpful and friendly Ordered food from the lunchtime menu when we arrived and the prawns in our food were a bit hard and the pasta was not linguine it was tagliatelle. Arrived back not too late from our party and the hotel bar was shut "
