This is a beautiful space! The inside is gorgeous and decorated so nicely! We had a spacious room with a huge beautiful bathroom with lots of amenities! Howard met us for check in and gave us the tour and was so helpful with breakfast recommendations and a great host!

Local hotels had no vacancy so I gave this place a try and boy was I happily surprised! We stayed in the cottage which was quiet, cool, delightful, and spacious. The owner and manager were very kind and hospitable. The English Merchant's Inn is within walking distance to the central city where we enjoyed great breakfasts, long walks around the shops, and a shady return path along the hiking/biking trail to the Waxahachie historic cemetery. I highly recommend that you skip the cookie-cutter hotels and stay at The English Merchant's Inn to enjoy some quiet, relaxing downtime. EXCELLENT!

Honestly I would advise spending as much time as you can at the hotel. Waxahachie has a lot of fun things to do but you won’t find more history than inside the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, can't wait to come back!

Amazing experience! We stayed in the cottage, and it was just beautiful. The bed is comfortable, and the cottage is very quiet. They have a Keurig with assorted coffee and tea (regular and decaf). I look forward to staying here again!

Love the decor and location

Howard was a wonderful host. The decor is wonderfully done. It is very quaint and lovely. It’s is in walking distance to the town square even though we took the car. It’s in a nice neighborhood. I will definitely stay again.
