I choose this Hotel because of the gym pictures on the hotels.com site. THERE IS NO GYM! And they were just sorry, we forgot to take the disinformation from the site. They haven’t had the gym since this January. Hotel didn’t offer me any refund or other option (another gym)

Lindo hotel pero baja calidad para 4 estrellas

El hotel es muy lindo y está bien ubicado, aunque se llama Beach Resort pero no esta en primera fila de playa. Solo hay wifi en la recepción. El desayuno es bastante pobre, nada que ver con la foto que muestran. La pileta cierra a las 6pm lo cual impide usarla luego de la playa

à éviter

Hotel à éviter le management n'accepte pas les critiques, nous avons fait savoir notre mécontentement de la nourriture, cuisine peu variée à base de plats italiens pas très attrayant ( pâtes et riz à tous les repas c'est dommage dans un pays africain) le restaurant ressemble plus à une cantine de collège qu'a un restaurant d’hôtel. Wifi de très mauvaise qualité et chambres basiques, une chaise pour deux pas de table juste un grand lit; loin de la plage.

DI CERTO NON CI TORNERO'.

Villaggio vecchio. Per arrivare in spiaggia bisogna fare circa 300 metri attraversando un altro villaggio ( Lily Palm) e un ristorante locale ( Mapango). La spiggia per gli ospiti( in comune fra i due villaggi), non e' pulita adeguatamente. I lettini di legno sono quasi tutti rotti e quindi inamovibili .I materassini sopra i lettini sono rotti e sporchi.Inoltre il personale di servizio in spiaggia si vede solo la sera ,quando alle ore 18 iniziano a chiudere la spiaggia.Per finire la cucina. Colazione scarsa e sempre uguale tutti i giorni.Pranzo e Cena discrete, con diverse varianti di primi, secondi, verdure cotte e crude.I dessert sempre uguali e immangiabili.

Aquarius resort Watamu

Nonostante fossimo arrivati al mattino presto, ci hanno dato subito le camere e la colazione. Per tutto il periodo del soggiorno sono stati sempre disponibili ad esaudire ogni nostra richiesta. Durante i giorni del safari con l'eccellente guida di Alfonso, pur non avendole pagate, ci hanno fatto lasciare le nostre valigie nelle camere e così anche l'ultimo giorno, poiché avevamo il volo la sera tardi. Dotato di ogni comfort, lo consiglio vivamente. Grazie a tutto il personale per l'ottimo servizio

Lamentable

Hotel clos à 300m de la plage avec une piscine privée car la deuxième se trouve en réalité au resort "Lyli Palm" voisin à partager avec leurs clients ! coupures de courant fréquentes avec un groupe électrogène au gasoil qui ne prend pas toujours le relais heureusement vu le bruit et par conséquent pas d'eau dans les chambres car non propulsée, pas de climatisation, ect... Chambres d'un autre temps sans télévision ni téléphone pour appeler réception et salle de bains datant de l'année de construction lointaine ! chauffe eau électrique minuscule vite vide ! "All inclusive" mensongé car en réalité il s'agit d'une pension complète avec uniquement sprite, coca et fanta ! Pour le reste il faut passé à la caisse ! cuisine insipide basique sans intérêt sous forme de buffet avec une viande, toujours la même, un poisson ou des pâtes ! vive l'italie sutout si vous êtes clients car sinon vous resterez sur le carreau surtout si vous avez le malheur de parler à la directrice à propos de votre déception pour son resort 4 étoiles ! nous avons eu juste droit à un "bonjour" et une indifférence totale durant notre séjour et une ignorance totale lors de notre départ devant des clients italiens tant choyer au bar en sa compagnie. Attitude lamentable pour une directrice de resort.

Abbiamo soggiornato 18 notti in questo piccolo diamante africano .personale e staff disponibili e professionali hanno reso unico e speciale il nostro soggiorno in Kenya . Non si tratta del classico resort caraibico tutto animazione e drink ma e qualcosa di diverso che permette di vivere appieno watamu sia per la posizione( situato nel centro del villaggio)che per l atmosfera che si crea un ringraziamento speciale alla proprietaria Elena alla direttrice Manuela e a tutto il meraviglioso staff

il resort è molto carino e accogliente, il personale è gentile sopratutto alla reception sono molto disponibili!! la cucina è molto buona! Non è vicinissimo al mare ma è proprio nel centro di watamu dove ci sono tante bancarelle!! Siamo rimasti soddisfatti!!

Einmal und nie wieder!

Hotel mit Null-Service-Mentalität, selbst Getränke muss man selbst holen. 2 Liter Flaschen mit Cola, Fanta, Sprite stehen auf dem Buffet. Wenn man etwas später zum Essen kommt sind die Getränke warm. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, ungewöhnlich, dass es keine Soßen zu trockenem Fleisch und Reis gab. Und nein, das liegt nicht an Kenia - ich habe bereits rund 25 unterschiedliche Hotels in diesem Land besucht. Das Personal hat sich am Ende der Mittagszeit selbst vom Buffet bedient. Da spricht ja prinzipiell nichts dagegen, jedoch wurde uns nur ungern vom verbliebenen Fleisch kurz vor Speisezeit-Ende auf den Teller gegeben. Man hatte also permanent das unterschwellige Gefühl, man esse den Angestellten das Mittagessen weg. Der angegliederte Strand mit "Mapango Beach Bar" ist rund 500 m Fußweg. Man kann also nicht wirklich von Strandhotel reden. Im Mapango gilt auch das All inc Angebot. Es existiert eine eigene "Hütte", an welcher Getränke im 150 ml Plastikbecher ausgegeben werden. Sofern man Kaffee, Tee oder andere Getränke als stilles Wasser, Fanta, Cola, Sprite möchte, wird man kräftig zur Kasse gebeten. Die Gäste des Lily Palm Hotels werden im Mapango Beach Club hingegen hervorragend bedient. Aquarius Gäste müssen alles in Selbstbedienung machen. Die besseren Sonnenliegen sind auch nur für Lily Palm Gäste reserviert. Insgesamt ist der Beach Club viel zu klein für beide Hotels. Eine 2 Klassen Gesellschaft. Entsetzlich! 4 Sterne und im Speisesaal sitzt man auf Plastikstühlen.

Money taken from room during my stay

The equivalent of $350 in USD and Euro was taken from my room during the morning of my first full day at Aquarius. What was most disappointing was the attitude of management, which was mostly that this was "impossible," and was not taken seriously, despite the fact that all signs pointed to someone on his staff that had access. A report was filed with the Watamu police (DB 33/24/1/017), and the investigation is still ongoing. Indicative of the poor judgement surrounding the incident, i found out upon my departure that the individual who cleaned my room the day of the robbery, a likely suspect, was still allowed to clean my room the whole time after the robbery! Outside of this wholly negative incident, my experience was largely positive. The local Kenyan staff was wonderful, the grounds were attractive and well-maintained and, while the buffet meals were good, they could have been a little more varied. I'd avoid the "single" rooms, although i'd still consider it a good value for the price paid, the air conditioner leaked, hot water didnt work well, and the shower sprayed everywhere. The "regular" rooms, though, were quite nice, very spacious many with private balconies, with none of the items mentioned that were wrong in the "single rooms." Wifi signal inconsistent and definitely does not reach all the rooms. Also annoying that there were daily power outages of varying duration that when they occured also caused the water to shut off.

Sentirsi in famiglia

Sono anni che non torno in questo angolo di paradiso e che non torno all'aquarius club ma quest'anno io e mio marito Abbiamo avuto una piacevole sorpresa al nostro arrivo. Negli anni di esperienza di viaggi non solo in Kenya ma in tutto il mondo non mi è mai capitato di trovare un direttore così disponibile pronto cortese e simpatico come il nuovo direttore del l'aquarius Matteo. Durante tutto il soggiorno È sempre stato disponibile e sin dal primo giorno offrendosi di custodirci le valigie sino al nostro arrivo in struttura ben 3 giorni dopo. Era presente quando qualcuno di noi ospite è stato poco bene aiutandoci e preoccupandosi come uno di famiglia e c'era anche per consigliarci su dove andare a divertirsi e sempre pronto a organizzare un emozionante safari grazie alla sua pluriennale esperienza nel settore, non è mai mancato un istante. Che dire, personale sempre gentile e sorridente camera molto pulita e confortevole direttore esemplare vacanza di relax completo grazie a tutte le buone caratteristiche della struttura.

Esperienza meravigliosa e da rifare. Staff disponibile, resort pulito, cibo buono e vario. Matteo, il direttore, innamorato del Kenya e pronto a consigliarti come vivere al meglio il soggiorno. Mi sono sentita come a casa, ma in vacanza. Spero di tornarci presto.

bellissimo resort ricco di flora vicino al mare

Non appena sono arrivato ho avuto la sensazione di essere a casa,sono stato accolto benissimo e mi sono sentito subito a mio agio. Ho visto una natura straordinaria,colori mai visti,un mare invitante e cristallino. Le persone sono gentili e sempre disponibili,consiglio a tutti di andarci, io ci ritorno a natale,ho il mal d'Africa
