From the moment I checked in, my experience at the Salamander Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Sabrina at the front desk greeted me with warmth and a genuine smile, immediately setting a welcoming tone for my stay. Charles was equally kind and always willing to assist with anything I needed. Zachary and Austin were incredibly accommodating—particularly during dinner at Dogon. After our swim, my five-year-old nephew was cold, and Austin thoughtfully brought him a blanket so he could stay warm and comfortable at the restaurant. It was such a kind and unexpected gesture.
Gonzalo was a true standout. He called me in advance to confirm my check-in and followed through with a warm welcome in person. He made sure I felt heard and taken care of throughout my stay. Initially, I booked from Tuesday to Thursday, but I extended my trip three times—first to Friday, then to Saturday, and finally to Sunday—because I enjoyed myself so much.
The spa experience was phenomenal. I had two full-body massages and a facial. Francesca and Dewayne, the massage therapists, were amazing, and Lisan, who provided my facial, was kind and professional. Their attention to detail and ability to make me feel completely relaxed were deeply appreciated.
One of the things I was most excited about was staying at a Black-owned hotel. It was important for me to support and experience that. I was genuinely impressed with the level of service and hospitality I received.
