Great breakfast every day, which is a big plus in D.C. Super clean and quiet, even with school groups. Staff was exceptional. Only one who wasn"t, who we never saw again. Considering food prices in D.C. they were very reasonable.

A few issues with room- drawers wouldn't stay shut (tripping hazard) and bathroom mirror peeling off, elevators taking so long- then going wrong direction upon entering -!but staff was amazing - so nice and friendly!

Wanted to be close to the capitol mall and this met that criteria but otherwise was disappointed. Proximity to the freeway makes those rooms VERY loud. They did move us after two nights and it was better. Breakfast area is too small for the number of guests and almost always had a line running out of food, dishes and utensils. There are almost no dining areas around the hotel other than a subway that closes early so be aware and plan ahead.
Nice hotel. Maintenence was in my room at check in (which was expected) and said they would be back to finish fixing the blinds. They never came back. Other than that and the water pressure being low we had a great time!

Great accommodations, location; slow to respond front desk (needed sheets, towels, toiletries bc didn’t have enough in room) and took multiple requests and follow up
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Would definitely stay here again.

All employees were very friendly and helpful when necessary. It was clean and comfortable. There was however, a fire in the hotel while we were there. Room alarms were not working! We were alerted by a person from our group when she called me because she couldn't find us outside. We never heard an alarm until we left our room (only in stairwell)to head outside. I'm pretty sure a lot of the hotel residents were not even aware of the fire. Could have been a completely different outcome had the fire been worse...
Clean hotel, staff were very helpful and responsive. The breakfast was great. The location was ideal. We walked to few places and Ubers were a short ride when needed. Other reviews complained of hearing noises from cars, it was minimal and to be expected when staying in a large city close to all the action. We used sound machine app on our phone and heard nothing.
The location is perfect for dining at the DC Wharf. We were there overnight for an overnight stay. The staff is great. Shout out to CJ! He makes delicious apple martinis. :)
Breakfast time gets crazy if you don’t get there early. Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay. Quiet hotel, close to many things to walk to. We felt safe.
The breakfast was below average, the beds were ok, there is not many food options for fast food close by. The restaurants by the hotel are high priced and fancy. Walking distance to National Mall area is not close so be prepared to walk a lot or use uber or scooters. The evening bar staff were not pleasant. They did allow us to get our room early since we arrived b4 check in and that was really nice! But I would recommend staying closer to the warf area if you want cheaper food choices and more selections.
Staff mistakenly gave away my reserved room before we actually came back at 7 PM. I booked the room in February and paid for one night ahead of time. Staff must have neglected my reservation during the day while I was out. I left my bags in storage with the female staff at 1 PM. My reserved Double bed room was not ready at that time. I had to wait two hours after 7 pm in order to get a room. It turned out to be a King bed with a very Poor sofa bed. We requested extra blanket or comforter but was never delivered therefore my friend couldn't not sleep well, because the sofa bed coil was bouncy and squeaky and not enough warmth. My guess is that they don't have enough Housekeeping staff to take care of needs during the night.
It was convenient for exploring the Nationall Mall and museums. We did not need our car but with a bit of a walk we could get to museums and metro stations. Free breakfast was nice. The hotel was quite close to a highway but there was barely any noise.
Property was clean on the surface but needed a deep cleaning. Some wear but over all still nice. Location was good for walking to the Mall and museums as well as the warf.

Close to the sights. Hotel was noisy at times and beds not that comfortable. It was adequate.
The property was a short walk from the Metro stations and in a safe spot. The breakfast was great each morning and fueled us for all of the walking we did around the city. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel breakfast was really good and the rooms were nice and clean. It’s a great hotel for families with kids. The parking was too expensive and it was hard to get to.
The Hyatt was a pleasant place to stay in a safe area with options for transportation. The breakfast served daily was sufficient. The staff was pleasant however not always professional. The restaurant has very limited options. The hotel was not as close to the National Mall as you would think given the name.
We got a room at 11th floor with great offer price

The property entry area smelled very strong of marijuana most of the time. The bathroom by the lobby also smelled of marijuana. When I checked in they told me that I could not keep the credit card that the reservation was secured on but needed a physical card. I don’t carry that card. It is in my Apple Pay app however. The original check in employee told me I couldn’t use it. Later when I spoke to another front desk employee, he was very helpful and corrected the issue. Please make sure all employees are trained in processing the digital payments. The cleaning staff were very kind and helpful and the breakfast was really good.

The elevator was down most of our stay or at best intermittently working. We were on an upper floor and not reasonable to walk 10 flights of stairs. The staff at night were friendly. Day time staff not so much. Upon check out I discussed my concern with staff/mgmt., after discrepancy between both staff members the outcome was complimentary parking for our stay. We struggled to find restaurants within the vicinity. We had stayed at a hotel near the convention center on a prior visit- much more user friendly and lots of restaurant options including a restaurant in the hotel. We will choose to stay at the other hotel in the future. This hotel's location is not necessarily that convenient to DC attractions. We still utilized Ubers.
