Mountain Heights Lodge
Nice hotel with continental breakfast close to Tongariro National Park. Host was exceptionally helpful when we changed plans due to weather. Comfortable bed, cozy room.

Rocky Mountain Chalets
The chalet was very nice, clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the in-room washer and dryer! Note* the dryer does get VERY hot on cotton/regular mode. We tried out the hot tubs too-very nice!

It looks like the place has been going thru renovations. The room has new kitchen and floor, may be carpet too.
