The kitchen was really well stocked as was the rest of the house. For us, instead of being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves at night, we were able to hear the river and drop off to sleep with that beautiful sound, it really was a luxury home away from home. "Great spot for Tongariro. A few necessities nearby. Ian is very welcoming - perhaps too much so. Bathrooms need a deep clean I'm afraid (there was a hand towel in a very bad condition). It's a shame that the property details say access to pool and spa. Yes, they are at a different property (which is fine) but staying here doesn't give you the ability to use it free of charge (which is sort of implied). Really kooky little place with a really nice outdoor section in the middle of the hostel. Kitchen is very good "
