"We have been here a few times. Usually the property is clean but this time around there was a lingering smell of sweat & smoke in the room. The reception host was also impatient & condescending when I called to inform them that we will be checking in late. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. We have an awesome time on Mt. Ruapehu."

"Pros: Room was clean , Staff Helpful and Friendly,Parking at door...Got a room without breaking the bank Cons: Shower showing signs of age, very small and needs a extractor fan....small window does open but cold when having shower......just a suggestion. All and all great stay room warm, beds warm and comfortable......well worth the money paid......I have paid more for less at other places......Would be happy to stay there again if ever needed....Thoroughly recommend at a reasonable price"

"Room was really warm for our arrival. Staff were pleasant. I was not well prepared and I think the hotel could be missing an opportunity to help guests get up the mountain during snowy conditions (I wasn’t carrying snow chains and there were limited options to get me up to my ski lesson on time). Not a criticism I would absolutely stay here again."

"Heating didn’t work and top bunk didn’t have a guard rail on it like the advertised photo. "

"The location was perfect, being able to walk to restaurants for dinner. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Was great to return to our room made up while we were out on the second day. First impressions however were a bit disappointing, the reception was closed when we arrived at 2pm, so spoke to someone on an intercom to get our room number. Also there was quite a lot of leaves and rubbish outside our room, alcohol cans, paper bags etc, that did not get tidied...

"I love how you have laundry room and kitchen but my partner noticed that some of the glassware is dirty and the spoon as well. But It’s comfy. Overall we enjoy our stay as we also enjoy the town"
