「A simple independent hotel room with a refreshed feel. Nice towels, new cork flooring, etc. we booked same day and had smooth sailing with prompt and thorough communications. Cute little harbor area too!」

「The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and...

「I had stayed there in the past but did not return since I felt it was over priced for the room. Appears to have new owners, very polite, room was clean and roomy appears to have been refinished. Over all a very nice room in a quite neighborhood and reasonable rate.」
