The toilet seat was broken and pinched. There was a1" gap around the heater that you could look outside. I had to put a pillow to block the wind coming in. No attempts were made to fix when reported.

First room has no hot water, smoke detector was in the dresser drawer. Complained and was given a different room. Second room the bathroom floor was sticky, dresser had something spilled on it. ( went to dollar store bought cleaner) to clean and sanitize the room. Coffee maker had old used filter in it and water in the reservoir. Refrigerator did not work.

Good for a night's stay, w/some privacy concerns.
This hotel was an old Super 8 before it became Wagner Lakeside Motel, and although it is the same building the accommodations are not the same. My complaints are: -The side entrance did not lock and was wide open, creating a privacy concern. People could go freely in and out without needing a card. -No lace curtains in the bedroom for privacy, so we never opened our windows up as people could see directly into our room. -The washing machine and dryer were out of order. They were in very poor condition and practically unusable. We only stayed one night in Wagner so it was not bad for the occasion. Although the customer service was not terrible I would not stay here long-term.

About average for the area.
Room service forgot to clean our room the first night; Had a very difficult time getting a plunger when toilet got plugged; Compared to a big city motel, pretty substandard but for the Wagner area about average. Breakfast offered is better than Dakota Inn. This is an alternative to consider if you rule out the Casino (which no longer offers any refunds for reservations) and if the Dakota Inn in Pickstown is not available.

The staff are very rude! We asked for our room to be cleaned cause would be out for the day, they didn’t do a thing. When we asked to exchange our towels they made a big deal about it. You can tell they never clean clean the rooms. You can tell they don’t pay attention to the rooms cause one of the pictures on the walls hung upside down and the dust on it was so thick. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Basic one night stay.
Basic hotel perfect for an overnight. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Room was plain but comfortable. Breakfast offered a minimal amount of choices. Toast, bagel, sweet roll, or waffle and hard boiled egg. Some yogurt or fruit would have been a nice addition. But the price was right and there wasn’t much else available in this area.

Very limited breakfast options, staff was incredibly rude and hostile on the phone (hung up on us multiple times), quite a bit of trash and broken bottles littering the property and piled outside our neighbor’s door. A bit run down but clean enough and serviceable. Beds weren’t very comfortable. The man at the front desk was personable, but no one was there when we checked out in the morning. There is a beautiful little city park right next to the property that we walked through that evening.

Walls are pretty thin. Room clean, bed comfortable, microwave, refrigerator work in good order, bathroom no frills but clean and functional. Breakfast no frills.

The motel seemed to be very clean. Pictures online showed a well equipped gym including weight machine. The gym area was empty save a dolly and some mattresses.

No Breakfast
When booked, the site showed a continental breakfast but other than coffee, there was basically nothing. For example, ther was raisin bran cereal, but no milk for cereal, oatmeal, etc.

As soon as we walked in the room it smelled like dog. And after looking around one lamp was hanging off the wall without a light bulb. No microwave or a chair in the room. The drawer for the nightstand was missing . There was ashes on the floor. And the sheets and blanket were stained.

Terrible stay would not pay 20$ to stay again
So the entrance door from outside did not work so we had to walk around to find a door into the building then walk back to our room once in the room there is a sign saying the door only works as an exit then there were no spoons at breakfast and the waffle mix was coming out of the machine in huge wet clumps with powder in the middle then got woken up at 1020 getting yelled at that I was supposed to be out at 10 but checkout is 1100 and was told I got til 1040 to get out so she can clean the room and this was the front desk guys wife bought a Cinnamon roll out of vending and the best by date was 2 months past the message in the ice machine read please clean ice machine immediately the window was broken in the room with a chunk missing so flys ECT could get in

The owners very rude to my family! There was urine on the bathroom wall, basically had one set of towels for all in the room and where unable to exchange for clean until after 5pm Ice machine broken Ceiling tile fell to the floor due to a pipe leak they picked up big piece and didn’t even bother to vacuum all the small stuff up

Enjoyable!!
We had a nice two night stay here! The room was clean, water pressure in the shower wonderful, beds are very comfy, there is a coffee maker and a small microwave and a mini fridge in each room although not shown online as such, and the rooms are non-smoking so another plus! The a/c worked well and we appreciated that! Continental breakfast is nice to start the morning and the staff is friendly and helpful!!! It's not the ritz but we wanted clean and comfortable not glitz glam fancy name so we were very happy with our stay at Wagner Lakeside Motel!! We'll stay here again!

Rooms were very clean. The staff and management are very friendly. The Motel needs to be updated and repaired. I believe the owners are fairly new. I hope they are able to make some updates.

The bed was comfortable and the hotel was easy to find and convenient to get to. The staff did not mention what time check-out would be. I assumed it would be 11, like at most hotels. Check-out was at 10, and I wasn't told until they knocked on my door at 9:55 to tell me.
