「Guesthouse in a rather remote location, nearest town seems to be Egilsstaðir and that's a half-hour drive away. Self check-in, you are given a code to access your room key. Breakfast is included. Staff kindly ask guests to not wear shoes in the house. Rooms are rather cramped, but clean, beds were comfy and curtains were blackout. Ambiance is somewhat lacking, the view is okay from the outside but there was construction right next to the house. Okay stop for the Ring Road for one night but...

「Nice homestead but there was no mention of shared facilities (ie a single toilet & shower) to accommodate the entire house when booking. Other guests decided to fry up some fish late at night and the smell permeated into the bedroom, very unpleasant but guess we cant fault the host for this. Our bedroom was right next to the shared bathroom and soundproofing was limited! Bedding was clean but found a random sock and some other bits which implies a surface clean only between guests.
