9.2/10 Wonderful! (132 reviews)
If you're looking for a truly quiet and secluded getaway, look no further. You will feel like you're the only house on the planet. At first I was weary of the weather, but I found that the rain makes this place even more cozy and charming! Listening to the pitter patter on the roof with the windows open helped me sleep like a baby. Not to mention enjoying the gorgeous cooler temps in what I call the second living room which is outside! The hot tub was suuuuch a vibe with the string lights at night. We got to speak with Scott, the housekeeper, a little bit and he was such a nice guy! Little surprises came with our stay too: a free book (which is actually a reaaaally good fiction about Big Island!), 12 farm fresh eggs, croissants, brand new milk in the fridge, little Hawaiian sodas... They went all out to make us feel like we were at home! I miss this place already.

9.6/10 Exceptional! (101 reviews)
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hoomakai Blessings, a lovely little bed and breakfast on the Hilo side of the big island. Kelly is a kind and gracious host who went out of her way to work with my unforeseen itinerary changes and I really appreciated her help and positive attitude. My bed was soft and comfortable and the outdoor hot tub was just what my sore body needed after a long trek around the island. Breakfast consisted of a delicious southwestern style breakfast burrito and homemade muffins with a nice assortment of teas and a constantly available pot of hot coffee. In case you forget to bring them, Kelly even supplies earplugs for the nighttime coqui frogs and the morning roosters. Mahalo nui loa Kelly!
