"I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Wingate by Wyndham. Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable from the moment I arrived until my departure.
Upon arrival, the front desk clerk ignored my presence while continuing a conversation with another employee. I was only acknowledged after walking to the opposite end of the counter, where another employee instructed me to return to the original desk. This was an unprofessional and unwelcoming start, especially considering I had already completed pre-check-in and had a card on file.
I later spoke with the manager regarding this interaction, and while he was courteous, the situation did not improve. After returning from breakfast and shopping, I was told my room had been “upgraded.” Although the rate remained the same, I accepted the change in good faith.
However, when I approached the front desk again, I was unexpectedly accused of smoking in the room. This allegation is completely false and highly concerning. To address the accusation, a maintenance employee was sent to inspect the room. I found this both intrusive and inappropriate.
Additionally, despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, it appears hotel staff entered the room without permission. Housekeeping services were not performed—towels were not refreshed, and the bed linens were not changed. This raises serious concerns about both privacy violations and service standards.
