My husband and I spent five wonderful nights at this hotel and were genuinely impressed by the service — every staff member was helpful and polite. A special thank you to Manager Corrado: thanks to him our stay went above and beyond. The beach is absolutely stunning and the breakfast was delicious; the pastry selection was my favorite, especially the fresh, crispy croissants. There are plenty of activities on offer — we loved our paddle session. Plus free shuttle to Villiasimus. The clientele tended to be older than us (we’re in our late 30s), which suited us perfectly since we prefer a relaxed atmosphere without loud, chaotic evenings. If you want a simple, peaceful, and well-run getaway with great service and a beautiful beach, this is the right place. Highly recommended.

This is more a 3/4 star hotel but definitely not 5 stars Positives: incredible food (quality and choice) and very friendly, dynamic and helpful staff Quite a few activities available beautiful beach Negatives: - relatively dated infrastructure (though the rooms are modern and very clean) and building - quite shocking to have to pay extra for the privilege of the first 2 rows at the beach - even though on half board basis, any water is charged (no tap water option)

Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. Superior room was spacious and modern with large balcony. The spa though needs an upgrade. The seawater pool is very dated with only half the massage jets working. Equally, whilst the 80s style evening entertainment was not our thing, there was no escape as from 10-11pm every evening it was so loud we could here it in our room with the doors and windows closed. Fortunately out 7 year old managed to sleep through it.

Rooms were nice and clean, spa facilities were wonderful! Breakfast- very good. But we were disappointed that there was no service at the beach, only self service. The AC did not go down to the preferred temperature and kept shutting off at night. First two rows of beach chairs needed to be purchased. It was only buffet for dinner and one extra restaurant which was not enough for five star resort. Room service menu didn’t have many of options. Didn’t like paperless system- only QR codes. It’s definitely not a five stars for us. On the day of early departure, we were informed there would be a quick grab breakfast table after confirming our departure time, which finished ten minutes before we were departing. The upside was that the water was very beautiful and warm and free fun water workout classes everyday.

Beautiful hotel with a private beach. The staff were exceptional and eager to ensure we had the best stay possible. The included breakfast was over the top with options and was exceptional. They had a lovely turn down service and many poolside amenities. We didn't partake in the spa, but the options looked awesome. The beach had reserved beds with umbrellas that were free, but we visited in the off season so i'm not sure if that varies. Villasimius offers a very cute beach town with restaurants and shopping just a few miles away. Overall, the hotel was excellent. My only critiques are that the room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the mattress was very firm. Both are very typical of European hotels, but nice to know ahead of time. Overall, would definitely return!

We were here for the second week of a two week Italian vacation. Resort was breathtaking. Well maintained and served our needs as we had hoped. Morning breakfast buffet is included and did not disappoint. Everything from smoothies plenty of fruit dairy and breads. Omelette station was very good. My only disappointment was the very overpriced dinner buffet. We stayed in one night and for $70 a person not including drinks the value received for the fee was poor at best. I would suggest anyone staying here to walk the 1 mile to the marina and pick one of the two excellent restaurants. We ate at Delia three times and for $60 we got a three course meal with desert and two drinks for $60. Much better value. Other than that this resort is outstanding.

A historic 5* that has lost its touch / magic

Clean room, Federico who checked us in was nice. They have a good time for checkout. Main pool is nice spacious area and they have bar service coming round. I liked that they gave complimentary water everyday. Breakfast was a good spread and on until a decent time (10:30) Beach area is nice, what isn’t great is that they charge you to use the first two rows which are the nicer beds. Further back rows are free for hotel guests. You can’t put the umbrellas down either. It’s a shame someone didn’t explain the hotel or the activities available when we arrived. We discovered stuff along the way. They should do at check in or have something in the room. The rooms need more soundproofing. We could hear upstairs all night which kept us up - we had to tell reception to ask them to keep it down. Didn’t feel like they did - we then tried to call reception an hour later (early hours of the morning) and no one would pick up. You can hear your neighbours when they are in the shower as well. The spa needed some TLC and updating. A few parts in their pool didn’t work. The emotion room was emotionless, the sauna small and wood coming up, the steam room was the hottest one I’ve ever visited and large. My wife had a massage and said it was ok. Not worth the money.

Couple of issues including spa

The hotel is about a five-minute drive from Villasimius, 65 minutes from Cagliari Airport, and around 75 minutes from Cagliari itself. After turning off the main road at a roundabout, you drive down a short dirt track with signage for reception. Guests enter through a gate and park in front of the hotel. Check-in was straightforward — we arrived at 12:30, waited about 10 minutes, and were then upgraded. ⸻ First Impressions & Design The hotel’s interior design is questionable — the lobby furniture is mismatched, and the colour choices feel jarring rather than stylish. The terrace above the dining area offers pleasant views of the pool, however. ⸻ Room We stayed in Room 1011, a ground-level room with a terrace facing the inner courtyard. This can be noisy when other guests are on phone calls, as sound echoes. • Design: cupboard doors decorated in bright abstract green patterns (Sardinian weave style), and an unusual green-and-white ethnic-style headboard. • Beds: one double and one single. • Amenities: one small bottle of water per day (insufficient, especially with a coffee machine), four Nespresso capsules, glasses, and wine glasses. Storage space was good. • Bathroom: spacious, with two sinks, large shower, bidet, toiletries, and a window for ventilation. • Terrace: table and two chairs (both scratched and aged), sandy floor that wasn’t regularly swept. ⸻ Spa & Facilities The spa was disappointing. • Pool: seawater at 34°C, but many hydro-pressure points did not wor

Staff very helpful and reassuring. Helped me and my son get medicine for sore throats after our long flight! Rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Pool is beautiful! They have a nice private beach with clear water in the ocean. Overall this place is a little paradise.

It took me forever to find a beautiful hotel in Sardinia that had beach access, food on site, walkable to town, and a great pool. This place far exceeded all of my criteria! I'd recommend this to anyone!

This is a beautiful resort everything about it was excellent except the food. Which was good when we could get it. We were traveling with children which is hard in Italy when your not use to it and everything closing for siestas every day. and the buffet being set at 70 euros for adults and 35 for children converted to Canadian dollars was very expensive and with very little options make it very difficult. In all Sardania is beautiful and worth the trip

The pool closes at 6 or 7pm. Considering in July its very hot and humid and almost too hot to be out in the sun, If the pool was open late, say until 10pm would have been very nice! Even after the sun went down it was still 90f outside. Also the elevator kept breaking and we got stuck inside then had to take the stairs. Otherwise its a beautiful resort.

Wonderful hotel

This hotel is absolutely stunning! A wonderful trip! The breakfast was delicious and there are many options to cater all needs. The staff have excellent attention to detail and nothing is too much bother for them. Lovely reception staff who can order taxis, reserve tables in beautiful restaurants etc. Highly recommended!!

Although excellent, we were forced out to eat because on our first night we were charged 66 euros for a sea bass that was hand picked by my daughter as the smallest. So small, she ate it all - I should have asked the price. I/we felt ripped off and that meal was nearly 300 euros with only one glass of wine. The rest water and soft drinks. As a comparison, a mixed grill in the town with a Sea bass twice the size and 2 prawns and cuttlefish was €33 ! Additionally, the buffet was 75 euros per person, excluding drinks. Also THE most expensive pricing for our world travels. A Coca Cola around the pool was €8 etc etc Then when you see your lovely room and showroom - you look up the brand of shower gel and shampoo being Philip Martin and that too is €100 per bottle. My suggestion is the hotel has a cheaper brand of shampoo and gels in the showrooms and with the monies saved, cuts its prices on foods and drinks to ensure that holiday makers return. I rated the hotel as excellent BUT we ate out every day and shyed away from purchases in the hotel. We still spend a small fortune and even then, when paying the bill, you are asked to tip 5,10,15 etc per cent as tips for the staff (who you may have already tipped and this option on top of the astronomical total bill. You would hope the hotel pays the staff well due to the prices). By the way, the town is not cheap for eating either, as a heads up. It's holidaymaker prices. However, certainly cheaper than this over priced hotel.
