Oh hello thank you for your lovley review - you hit on a few of the things we really love about hosteling - the social atmosphere, the chance to meet travellers from around the world and it makes us very happy to know you enjoyed the activities we organize here. They take place a few times a week, featuring a pay-as-you-wish dinner that really makes us all feel like family. Board games, talent shows and even swims at the Danube or football afternoons, in summer, and Christmas Markets walks in winter are on the list. But without any comments, it's hard to know just what went wrong, or for that matter if you have reviewed the wrong hostel by mistake (it happens more often than you'd think). Hey there, thanks so much for your review, we're really glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay! We are very sorry about the smoke, we will be more aware of keeping the doors closed. Also big sorry because of the air conditionig - Under normal Viennese circumstances the ceiling fans are more than enough to keep the dorms comfortable - but we are experiencing quite high temps at the moment. We'll make sure the dorms are stocked with even mor extra (standing) fans so that everyone can stay nice & cool :). We'll hope to see you here again sometime - until then, happy travelling!

Hi there, thanks for your review - we're really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall, despite noisy guests and flat pillows :). I checked up on the bed you were in, and the pillow was indeed getting a little worn, so we exchanged it for a new one - thank you for the helpful feedback! As for the noise - as the weather gets lovelier, folks do tend to get a bit more boisterous ;). We really do want all of our guests to be able to enjoy their evenings AND get a peaceful night's sleep. Next time you're here, please feel free to let reception know about any noise issues - we're here 24 hours a day and always happy to help out :).
