Well managed hotel for a decent enough price. It’s located in an outer district of Vienna, but it takes only 1/2 hour to reach the city centre by public transit. Staff is very cooperative and friendly. Coffee shop in the building, 2 grocery stores in the immediate neighbourhood. Excellent shopping options (somewhat upscale) on the nearby Obkirchergasse. A few decent restaurants close by.

Though slightly out of Vienna city centre, location was excellent in terms of access to public transport - bus, tram and trains all within walking distance of the hotel. Price was excellent for the comfort and type of hotel.

A perfect weekend hotel

My stay at the Franz Kaiser Joseph was excellent and provided a perfect escape for our trip to Vienna. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the parking below was a nice affordable amenity. The rooms were well kept and the noise level was calm and quiet which made it easy to sleep peacefully all night.

Everthing very nice, fresh, clean and comfortable. Only thing not perfect was the smell of mould in the bathroom, despite it looking newly refurbished. Tramline nearby, no 38 then to bus 1A directly to Stephansplatz, great for those w soar feet etc.
