We had issue with our first room. But our 2nd room was great they gave us a balcony which we enjoyed. Food was good.

The hotel was excellent. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The location was great for travelling around. Lots of shops and places to eat and drink. Very close to the lake and train station.

Nice family room!!!
Nice family room. They have 2 bathrooms. Although quite old bathroom but very clean. Breakfast has enough varieties and nice quality food. Staff in restaurant during breakfast are very friendly especially for the lady that was there on xmas morning. Location perfect just in front of train station but still very quite. Lovely view from our room.

Fantastic hotel!. I'm staying here every time. The staff is extraordinary - pleasant, helpful, getting things done. You have conference rooms for business meetings. Lovely spacious rooms.

An experience
I made a mistake, usually I don't take any breakfast and I did the reservation without it. Once at the hotel I have been asked if I wanted it and I accepted it. By the end of the stay I didn't use it the breakfast at all, and correctly they felt like charging it, but by the end they understood my situation and they have been kind enough, not to charge me. This by the time I did the reservation without and as I haven't used it. However, the réceptionist has been pushy and strong on her point. Only when I accepted to pay it for not having more troubles, she stepped back and decided not to charge me. The situation was a bit unexpected and ruined a bit my great opinion at the real end. Either you charge it or you don't charge it it's fine to me, but don't create a théâtre in the réception. For everything else, rooms are clean, a bit dark, very nice bathrooms, great location and you are in Montreux in 10-15 minutes either by train or by bus. Thank you for everything!

Stayed for 2 nights during Montreux Jazz Festival. Very convenient bus and yrain service. Nice rooftop bar with views. Staff all very helpful. Possibly a little dated. but thats really stretching for a negative. Didnt eat at hotel so cant comment.

The friendliness of the staff and its convenient location. On my last day of stay, to catch the early train to Zurich, breakfast only starts at 7pm on Sunday. The staff offers me a cup of coffee and croissants despite the restaurant is not open for breakfast yet.

Superb location & friendly staff
I was in Vevey for just one day on business and needed to check in early to get ready after a red-eye flight. Location right in front of the train station was the reason I selected Astra, and the staff was very accommodating for my early check-in. The flip side of the convenient location is lack of view, but my inward facing room was very quiet. Also, the lake was just a short walk away in any case.

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But there is no coffee maker in the room, not even a water boiler, so we had to start our long journey without the usual morning coffee!! For a 4 star hotel the bathroom is really outdated and taking a shower turns to a burden. Comfortable bed and clean room
