「I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.」

「The room smelt like old and used ski gear. I get it, it’s the season, but not cool. Breakfast was pop tarts, plastic wrapped danishes, bananas, and apples. 」

Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of. 「This was the most disgusting place I have ever stepped foot in. There was BLOOD SPLATTERED ON THE WALLS, mold in the shower, holes in the wall stuffed with tissue, a nasty beanie covering the smoke detector. Towels were dirty, sheets were dirty. This place was a literal pit of nightmares. Go here to get hep c and bed bugs. We turned around and left, got a refund from Expedia. If you want to be in an episode of 20/20 then this is the place for you.」

「Harvest Barn Inn was the perfect place to stay warm on a freezing Vermont winter weekend. We absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere - homemade cookies, endless tea, plenty of books, and beautiful views. The three-course weekend breakfast was the highlight of our stay. 「因为是带着孩子参加面试，所以找的是相对距离学校比较近的酒店。很小的酒店，没有电梯，房间也比较小，但是停温馨的。第二天一早遇上下了一夜的雪，边上一个老伯很热心地帮忙打扫车上的雪，特别温暖。附近不远就是一个购物广场，有沃尔玛，还有很多吃饭的地方。酒店后面也有，所以非常方便。」
