Under reconstruction, AC was very hard to understand and control. Indoor Pool temp was way to cool. Evening staff had not yet been trained. Breakfast foods were good, however the one person staff did not keep up with refilling trays, etc. The pancake maker was not working correctly.

Electric outlets not working had to change rooms. Then toilet didn’t flush no water. Hairdryer nor telephone worked. Could not change channels on tv. From the 4 nights we stayed only 1 time the beds were made. At evening nobody is ever at the desk. Breakfast items running low or not available. We stayed here last year and we had no trouble at all. Maybe they were understaffed and they were in a remodel.

My family members all had reservations at the Best Western, but I had always chosen the Holiday Inn. When I checked in, the staff member was not helpful, and she looked like she was wearing sweatpants and a sweater. When we got to the room, the AC was off, and when we attempted to turn it on, it kept tripping off. When she finally came down, she attempted it and nothing. I asked if they had any other rooms, and she said no and offered no sorry or other solutions. I was then left scrambling to find another room at 930 pm. All she said was that she texted her manager, and I was left to call Expedia the next morning for a refund, as I had not heard anything. I also heard another customer complain about the lack of breakfast, and the staff said she was the only one there for 12 hours, as if that were an excuse for poor service. From now on I will think twice.

The hotel was being rennovated to an extreme that made it difficult. Signage is all on the floors. We were given a different room style than what we reserved (with no discount) that had outlets and blinds that did not work. No sheets or pillows were included for the pull out couch. There was renovation dust all over one wall. It was not disclosed that the pool was closed. There were signs for a vending machine that we were then told doesn't exist.They ran out of food at the free breakfast.

There is construction happening should state that on website before booking. Place is a mess. They say they have sound proof rooms that's a lie. We are still awake at almost midnight because the constant slamming of doors! Three times now it's been so hard and loud it shakes our room! It's awful! We stayed here because son has a choir event at the school and has to be there at 5:50am! Didn't want to drive here at 4am! Should have just drove!

The facility is under remodel. The room was clean but missing chair and table, the staff was notified but nothing was done, on day 2 towels and trash were left in the hallway but none were replaced. We had to go to the desk to get new towels. We were told by others that it was very nice so we can only assume that our problems were due to the remodel. We will try it again in the spring when we come back . It is located perfectly for anyone visiting the university.

The parking situation is absurd on days of football games at the adjacent Dakota Dome. People not staying at the hotel take most of the available parking spaces. After a very early lunch I returned to the hotel 2 hours before doors opened at the Dome and there were no parking spaces available. Multiple cars were parked in the fire lane and in front of a fire hydrnt. Something needs to be done. The freeloaders are parking at hotel and going to tailgating activities. Please resolve this issue. It happens most times I stay at the hotel.

We had absolutely no service for three days. Service as to cleaning the room, restocking the towels, emptying the waste baskets, making the beds, etc. we even spoke to the front desk each day only to find the room was attended to again. The front desk gals, did bring us fresh towels once we asked Also we had an invasion of Asian beetles which kept us busy ridding the room of them.

I don’t recommend staying in this hotel!

This hotel is in need of a makeover. It was very expensive and there were 2 different types of bugs in the bathroom. The towels were threadbare and some were stained. The mattress was broken down somewhat. The location is great, so I’m sure that’s how they get away with less than stellar accommodations and price gouging. I would rather drive to another town than stay there again. Cleanliness is not their strong suit.
