Carpet worn, torn. Lots of drawers, over half unusable with missing knobs or bottom broken out. Sliding closet door almost unmovable. Almost everything in kitchen needed cleaning: dishes, counters, drawer handles, sticky floor. Quality stove, MW, sink, counters. Basic, damaged fridge, worked well. Stayed three nights, maid came only once.

The place was good for me and my son just need some few repairs in the bathroom and i know its a non smoking room it still had a smell of cigarette so had to sleep with the window open but i tell u this everything was pretty close by on short distance easy to get around on location and quiet so its not bad in my book

Not exactly what was shown but still very nice
Small place but the room was very big and nice. Full kitchen with appliances. Only thing that was disappointing was that there was no couch in the room as shown in the pictures

The property does look like much, just an average motel. Checkin was easy. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. For the price, it is worth staying at again

I really like that they have a full kitchen. My fiance and cooked our own food together it was wonderful to eat a home cooked meal on our trip instead of eating fast food or family restaurants. We enjoyed staying. I and the cost of the room was very reasonable. I can't think of any dislikes. We've stayed here twice now and we will return.

The staff is very helpful and available when you need them! Parking is free however it gets full very fast cause it’s a smaller parking lot. Kitchen is very nice to have, the location is nice and close to shopping.

The location was ideal. The facility is older and they are trying to improve the older setting in the rooms. Cleanliness was on the poor side. The bed and shower were good. The size of the room was good with a kitchen. Although I never use the kitchen.

First of all the place was empty and I didnt get the room I payed for... The guy working at the front desk couldn't give me a reason why! Then he tells me there is a $100 deposit which I couldn't find anywhere on the website! And to top it off he told me that I was not allowed to have any guest or smoke in the room or else I wouldn't get my deposit back! Oh and if I messed up the other bed I also wouldn't get my deposit back?? Like what the heck. The place smelled horrible, stains on the bed and chairs. What a dump

Person at front desk was rude, demanded 100 cash deposit, due to my service animal, repeatedly mentioned that the room better be left clean or I’d loose my deposit. Also no telephone in room hot water only lasted 5 mins. I took pics of room when I checked in and when I checked out.. I will never stay at that place👎

Sweet stay
My stay was pleasant and well worth the money! Comfortable with a touch of home. Full size refrigerator with stove and microwave. Although it’s off a main road I slept like a baby. Thanks for the stay and I’ll return.

Do not stay here!
Unprofessional business practices. Dirty property. Extremely rude staff. Left immediately upon arrival. Did not actually stay as this property. The managment team is worse than the property - they should not be in business. (I highly recommend staying at motel 6 with kind staff and clean rooms for less expensive rates and closer to the water.)

Theft & absolutely unconscionable, predatory business practices!!! I made this reservation from the side of the road in the night, using my phone on the Expedia website, exhausted from driving, w 5 children. The reservation was placed after midnight, July 6, 2019. For July 6 check in - July 7 check out. After placing the reservation I drove directly to the hotel, arriving within twenty minutes. Prepaid $188. When I arrived, the clerk told me that I could not check in until 3:00 p.m.! I told him we were driving, there was an accident, road closed, delayed, exhausted, need room for tonight only on our way to San Diego, but couldn't make it. Clerk informed me that he would charge me $400 as it was Saturday night & that was the Saturday night rate Clearly, no one was going to come in after 2:30 a.m. w a party of 6 to rent a room for a few hours. I teared & said that I could not afford that. He offered 300 price range. I told him I could not afford that either. I asked him to please refund my money! He told me I did not read the small print & it was my fault. I told him I did not see that on the app at all. That the room had only been reserved for twenty minutes it could not have cost him any business. He told me to contact Expedia. I was turned away, mother traveling solo w 5 children in the middle of the night, in tears, with no assistance, and no offer to direct me to another motel. Unconscionable! Dear Guest, the reservation made by you was a last minute booking reservation under our Non-Refundable Rate Plan for Check-In on Sunday July 7th at 3 PM and Check-Out on Monday July 8th at 11 AM, therefore we could not honor your reservation for Saturday evening past midnight for July 6th for the low Sunday rate as it was a busy 4th of July traveler weekend through out the town. Most near by hotel properties comparable to us were already sold out. Our cancellation and refund policies are stated at the bottom of the page when guest is making the reservation. Again we sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you may had.

The employees are rude, out dated rooms . my mom dropped her dog off a few hours before check out so she could make it ti her Dr appointment and they charged me $100 with out telling me first. When there was never a pet fee notice online, in the office or no employee informed me. So a warning would have been nice before they charged my card. I highly regret not have just staying with my safe choice and gone with the Vagabond down the street. Nice clean rooms and better customer service. I will not be going back to this motel.😔

Dear guest, you did not inform the management of having the pet with your stay upon check-in. We do allow pets for an extra fee, however guest must inform management upon checking in so we can assess the pet fee and a required $100 deposit. We have not assessed any penalty charges as per our records.

Not a good neighborhood
When my 15 year old son and I pulled into the parking lot he said "Mom this is ghetto. Please tell me we won't stay here" He didn't feel safe and neither did I . I wish I had known it's not a good neighborhood. There were guests (sketchy looking people) hanging out in the parking lot outside their room. We didn't even get out of the car. We left, knowing the $85 room charge was non-refundable. It wasn't worth it. Take note that we did not get out of the car, but Orbitz requires answers for hotel staff, room cleanliness and room comfort. We did not see this so I can't really rate it.

Hello, We understand your concerns about the area, but I assure you this is a safe place and we have never had any issues. We do have cameras facing the front, back and facing all room doors therefore we can keep a close eye out for any activity. We do frequently walk around the property and in the back of the motel to make sure there are no unwanted visitors or unwanted activity. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will reconsider. As far as our rooms go we have photos online and we are newly renovated with full size steel appliances and new carpet and beds along with a nice 60" tv.

Spectacular experience. The interior of the room i stayed in was immaculate. Absolutely. A lot of t.l.c. in every detail... i am really impressed. Beautifully remodeled establishment.

Decent hotel
The hotel staff were friendly and helped me quickly check in when I arrived late. The room was adequate and clean, but could definitely use some updates. There was no hair dryer, I had added a request for one in my online reservation (their hotels.com details stated one could be available upon request), but by the time I noticed there wasn't a hair dryer, the front desk was closed; just a minor inconvenience. The area isn't glamorous, but it was convenient for my business travel, and is actually close to a few tasty restaurants (Cafe Nuveau and Gotetsu). With a couple of pieces of new furniture and a new toilet seat, I would probably return here.

Cute and Comfy Motel
Great little motel, on a sort of busy street. Bed was comfortable, room was very large. Had a microwave and a small fridge. The owner was very nice as well. There is a great market called the Santa Cruz market that has almost everything you need and is a short walk away. Pretty close to the beach as well.
