Wonderful Austrian hospitality.....

We were collected from the station by Rene and taken to the hotel on the outskirts of Velden. We were upgraded to a larger room with efficient Wifi ( important for us as we run a business). Our room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the lake and distant hills. The hotel was quiet, but all the facilities were available. What immediately strikes you here is the cleanliness of everywhere in this hotel. The spa area was spotless and our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. What also is clear is that the staff like working here...they are cheerful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We could name all the staff, but even those we did not meet ( the chef) made our stay memorable.Unusually for us we took half board and we were glad we did the food is five star standard. If you like walking then this is a wonderful base on the south side of Lake Wörthersee. Walks are "moderate" in difficulty and well sign posted...wonderful countryside. We did 45 miles in 4 days here...If you go in the summer the lake temperature is 26 degrees (thermals).. We were sorry not to stay longer...Rene took us back to the station...We have had the good fortune to travel the world and this experience for us has been one of the best...

Die Umgebung ist schön, zu Fuß ist man in 15 Minuten in Velden! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hervorheben möchte ich die sehr nette und umsichtige Frau Claudia beim Frühstück! Bemerken möchte ich noch dass das Zimmer 209 SEHR klein ist und insbesondere die Nasszelle (Dusche) für ein 4* Hotel eine Zumutung ist. Wahrscheinlich hätte ich nicht über eine Buchungsplattform, sondern direkt buchen sollen! Mfg Andrea K.

Erstklassiger Service. Gutes Essen allerdings mit sich wiederholendem Angebot nach einer Woche. Frühstücks- und Salatbuffets am Abend mit wenig Abwechslung. Kostenloser Verleih von hoteleigenen und hochwertigen Fahrrädern ist sehr gut, was den relativ weiten Weg zum hoteleigenen Strandbad am See erträglich macht, wenn man auf dem rückweg mit dem Fahrrad den steilen Berg hinaufkommt. Hoteleigener Swimmingpool haben wir ausgiebig genutzt. Das Bad im Comfortzimmer ist sehr klein und kann nur von einer Person genutzt werden, was bei einer Familie dann nachteilig ist. Es fehlt ein zweites Waschbecken.

Wir hatten 3 Einzelzimmer. 2 waren sehr gut. Sie hatten einen großen,sonnigen Balkon 1 Zimmer war sehr klein mit wenig Ablagemöglichkeit. Vorallem im Bad war über dem Waschbecken gar keine. Hier war auch die Duschkabine sehr eng. Der Preis für dieses Zimmer hätte niedriger sein müssen. Das Frühstück bot viel Auswahl, war reichlich und sehr gut. Am Abend konnte man unter vielen Salaten wählen und sie waren alle schmackhaft. Suppe und Dessert waren ebenfalls in Ordnung Das Hauptgerich traf nicht unseren Geschmack und war dürftig. Da wir die Wellnesseinrichtungen nicht genutzt haben, kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Ganska grundläggande komfort, skick och standard på hotellet. Kände tyvärr inte att man fick valuta för pengarna. Dyrt med tanke på standarden men man betalar för närheten till Wörthersee. Bra frukost. Det som drog ner upplevelsen var krångel vid incheckning där man fick betala hela summan en gång till trots att allt var förhandsbetalat. Detta med motiveringen att summan bara var reserverad och ska återbetalas. Märkligt, väntar fortfarande på återbetalning.

Ruhig und doch gut gelegen

Schönes, familiengeführtes Hotel an ruhiger Lage. Ins Zentrum von Velden sind es zu Fuss 10 bis 15 min. Unser Zimmer war eher klein, jedoch mit Balkon und Seesicht. Die Halbpension ist emphelenswert!

The facilities, service and food were great but what made this hotel exceptional for us was the personal considerations by everyone on the staff from the owners to the laundry lady who greeted us as we walked past her window. You were made to feel like a very welcome personal friend and guest!

Staff is extremely friendly, hotel has a nice location and good facilities. Rooms are up to standards, bathrooms are new. Only negative thing I can come up with is that the wifi is limited to the reception area only. But it´s free though.

Empfehlenswertes Hotel

Leider kein Blick auf den Wörthersee und das hoteleigene Strandbad ist relativ weit entfernt. Trotzdem: Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen: Geräumige, komfortable Zimmer mit allem was der Gast braucht. Freundliches Servicepersonal mit österreichischem Charme.
