"We (a family of 3 generations) chose the hotel specifically for its proximity to the Heraklion airport. The hotel was immaculate, the staff helpful and the rooms were also immaculate and provided all the necessities for an overnight stay. Yes, we did hear the planes going overhead - but that was expected. And the heavy drapes mitigated the noise considerably. The beds were so comfortable that none of us had any trouble sleeping. Our plane left too early to enjoy the wonderful-sounding breakfast...

"This was a great place to stay for an early flight. Yes, it is noisy with the planes flying overhead, but I don't think that you can get away from this unless you stay really far away. The food was great, and the location was ideal. I chose not to walk with my suitcases, & the public transit was 1.20 euros with a 5 minute bus ride. The location was in the heart of the city - very busy - (I only say this because we stayed in a very quiet relaxed area of Crete) so this was very busy for us. ...
