I assure you that the pictures are real pictures of our rooms. All of our room are a bit different from each other.

Most of our rooms have chairs but some of the rooms are smaller than others. This is a roadside that was built in the 50’s. They just built things smaller back then. We actually love this little place and have done a lot of work to make it as comfortable as possible.

I am sorry that you got a room where the shower hasn’t been redone yet! I promise it is clean it is just stained from past abuse and use. We have been working hard on making the changes need but as you mention, we are an old building and it just takes time and money to get all the changes needed. Maybe you can let us know when you are around again and we can make sure you are in a room with an updated bathroom and you can let us know what you think of the difference! I’m sorry that you had a bad experience at our place. I am a bit confused by your review since no one made any complaints at their time of stay, including you. Our curtains are black out panels and there most certainly is no mold in any of our tubs. We take great pride in our place and housekeeping is an area that we as owners have high demands from our workers. Next to maintenance, it is our biggest budget expense. If your TV wasn’t working, you certainly should have let us know and we could have taken care of that. All of our TV’s are tested while housekeeping cleans but certainly a battery can run down and typically if someone has an issue, that is the reason, however, our system is a 2 remote system and sometimes some people are confused by that. Typically, if that is the case, our gust will just call and we go over and show them but you made no call. Our restaurant isn’t open 24 hours (as most restaurants are not) and we are closed on Sunday and Monday. I believe we offer plenty of hours to justify advertising our restaurant.

Cathy, sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay at out little motel. We make it clear in our advertisements that this is a small road side that was built in the 50’s. We purchased the motel in 2017 and have been working on renovating since. I will have to disagree with you about being run down now (it certainly was when we started). We have completely remodeled every room. The size of the bathrooms cannot be changed. This was how they build them in the 50’s. We have upgraded them as much as possible until we rework the electrical (which is on the list). I believe you stayed in one of our deluxe kings. Should you desire to stay with us again, we do have some completely remodeled suites that you could try (still in an old building). See, we love old buildings and we enjoy breathing new life into them but we understand it isn’t for everyone. Have a blessed day.

Mr. Virgel, we do not have 2 bedroom suites, we don’t advertise them and we don’t sell them. If the third party vendor that you went through misled you, I apologize but we did put you in two separate rooms as soon as you stated there was a problem. Our pictures are actual pictures of our actual rooms so I don’t see how they can be misleading. We do not advertise coffee in the room. We do advertise free coffee in the lobby, which was available on the days of your stay. I apologize if your stay was not up to your standards but we have worked very hard to have the nostalgia of a road side motel with updated amenities and our prices are in line with the other 2 motels/hotels in our area.

We appreciate your review. It is an old building built in 1955 so some things are out of our control (such as size of room) but we have tried one best to update the motel while leaving the nostalgia of the old motel. We are very proud of our place and prices are in line with the other places in our area. Don’t forget when you use a third party to book, you also pay for their services in the room rate. Hi Julie! Thanks for the kind words and we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. It is the whole reason my family is here, trying to make travelers comfortable and happy as they pass through. We offer free coffee in the office because we are an older place (we like to buy old building and bring them back to life) and as so, there are not a lot of plug-ins in the rooms. Apparently, they didn’t need to plug in much in the 50’s . Anyway, I just wanted you to know that we have thought about it and would love to offer that feature but the buildings electrical capabilities just isn’t able to handle that yet. Hey, we do have some suites available and they have coffee pots in the room as well as a full kitchenette! Check those out if you are every through our area again! Thanks again and safe travels.

The pictures are actual pictures of room so if there is a particular room or certain amenities that you prefer, please let us know when reserving. The king beds are new to our facility and do have running boards to aid with shorter people when getting in the bed but I am looking at some additional aids for this purpose.

I do wish, if you had issues or concerns you would have addressed them with us while you were at our location so that we could have tried to accommodate your needs. Unfortunately, you did not so I have no idea why your stay would not be comfortable. We are an older motel that has been remodeled and we do our best to ensure that all of our guest comfortable. We are very proud of our little nostalgic roadside but it isn’t for everyone. I do hope that you would speak up at the next place to stay and give them an opportunity to accommodate you before just giving them a low review. These can hurt small businesses that are truly trying to make a great little place for people. Have a great day!

Unfortunately, the outlet issue is a known problems but due to the age of the hotel (built in 1950), other than running all new electric, there isn’t much we can do about it. We do have new electrical on out “list” and would love to get that done. It is very expensive so I am not sure when we will be able to do it. We have tried many times to get help with the reception with our cable company, unsuccessfully. As we advertise, we are an older motel (built in 1950) that we are remodeling. We have made more progress than you can even imagine but we admit we are still working on some things. We do have rooms that offer more amenities than others but you requested none of them. We appreciate you staying with us but the next time you stay at a small, older motel and you have certain amenity needs, you should at least ask to see if they can offer them to you before you state they just don’t have them.
