Quirky but worth it

This is not 5 star luxury by any stretch of the imagination. The decor in the rooms is very 60s and the bathrooms are tiny, and the sound insulation is not great, so expect to hear your neighbours, but still I'd go back. It's quirky in a nice way. Mr Monzini, first Italian on Everest, built the place and it's covered in his memorabilia. The location is fabulous, the price is reasonable, nd finally, the staff were great. Sadly I forget her name but the woman who does the check-in and is always around is super friendly and helpful.

La struttura si trova in posizione comodissima per raggiungere gli impianti di risalita e il centro del paese. Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Non si può pretendere di più. Un tre giorni di neve sci e divertimento.

Very nice and helpful staff.

Very helpful and nice staff. For the price it’s good as a small place right in the center of Cervinia. I arrived 20.00 and stayed one night and left 08.00. Rooms are old and I had a small single bed with less comfortable bed linnen. Recommend it based on the very nice staff.

In teoria tutto perfetto, unico problema, piuttosto rilevante: il riscadamento. Spento in stanza, forse anche in tutto l'hotel, spento anche di giorno.

we will be returning

We use the hotel to host one of our guides and a client, the hotel is great with its history and vibe. The staff are very helpful and multilingual.

Stamberga sporca e fredda

Siamo accolti da una signora gentile che ci fa notare che il check in inizia alle 14 e noi siamo 15 minuti in anticipo. Il cane (boxer carino) ci riempirà di bave per tutto il soggiorno: lecca le tazze sui tavoli, sbava sui clienti e saltella negli spazi angusti. La signora ci accompagna in camera attraverso una scala coperta da tappeti lerci e sbrindellati. La hall è arredata con mobilia rotta e consunta, altri clienti hanno steso gli abiti bagnati sul termosifone. Entriamo: stanza gelida e piccolissima, con 2 finestrelle a 2 metri da terra. Spifferi ovunque, un termosifone scrostato a proteggerci ( con poco successo) Il bagno è freddo, risale agli anni 70, presenta un box doccia minuscolo ed incrostato di calcare. Muri crepati, piastrelle rotte, tendine sporche completano il quadro. Per accedere all hotel si digita un codice che apre la porta: non si vede nessuno durante il giorno.La signora compariva solo alla sera ed il giovane proprietario, a stento biascicava un saluto: troppo affaticato, si addormentava nella sala tv/ colazione. Insomma, un incubo.

Piacevole soggiorno

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel 2 notti: la struttura e le camere sono datate, ma la pulizia è curata. Gentilissimo il personale ed in particolare la sig.ra Vienna che ci ha accolti e seguiti come se fossimo amici di vecchia data. Ottima colazione con fantastiche brioches.... L'hotel è proprio in centro e non ha un parcheggio privato. Nei dintorni comunque si trovano facilmente posteggi non a pagamento.

Hotel che avrebbe bisogno di una bella rinfrescata. Camera tripla piccola e umida con problematiche iniziali di riscaldamento (poi risolte ). Colazione sufficiente e ottima posizione. Un peccato davvero perché avrebbe discrete potenzialità .

The customer service was wonderful. Wifi was not available in the room, only in common areas downstairs and the room was a bit cold at times. Location was fantastic with the ski resort right on the backdoor.

great position for the ski lifts

Its a small hotel with lots of History, very dated but that's part of its charm. Next to 2 ski lifts which is a massive bonus. We ate in the restaurant twice and overall it was very nice also the continental breakfast was nice. The staff were fantastic with us, also there is a very friendly resident dog called Aro whom we fell in love with but I know this might not be every ones cup of tea. Our twin room was very small and dated but we got used to it but many people might not. What I would say in conclusion this was probably one of the best bargain ski hotels we have stayed in when every thing is taken into account, but if your looking for posh forget it.
