"Our plane was delayed and hotel staff stayed extra time so they were there when we arrived! The breakfast was very good. The hotel manager was so helpful. He not only helped us with what to see but assisted us in getting there. Malta was stop over on our return home from Greece. The hospitality here has made us want to return for a much longer trip !"

"The Barrister is in a central location within a short walk of most of the bars, restaurants and sights of Valletta. It's not fully serviced but staff are available at all times. Rooms have tea and coffee making, water and soft drinks included. Breakfast has a good selection of fruit, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, bread and pastries, and drinks are prepared to order. There is a lift to all floors and it has a characterful interior with much charm. The only negative is the noise late into the evenings from an adjacent bar. The fact that the hotel provided complimentary ear plugs in the room indicates the level of the problem. My room shared the same street as the bar, other rooms on the other side of the hotel are probably quieter. If you are a light sleeper I'd suggest to confirm room location before booking."

"The hotel was nice and in a good location to walk to town. The front desk never had change, which is weird because they have to charge an “eco” tax so you’d think they’d have coins. The room was spacious. The bed a bit lumpy but my husband liked it. The breakfast felt chaotic because it’s a buffet in a small room and you felt you were always in the way. The breakfast choice was ok — most of what you want but nothing special. For example, there was fresh fruit but it didn’t taste in season. You can order off the menu but in the weekend it took a long time to be able to catch the eye of the one person taking orders. For the price, we were a bit disappointed. "

Hotel in an excellent position for all the shops / restaurants and attractions all within walking distance but at the same time not too crowded. Would definately stay here again and highly recommend to others"

"Stay was excellent. The breakfast and housekeeping staff were very attentive and accommodating. Food good. Room clean. Location perfect in old town, above bar, loud music at night on weekends. Communication by text message was a challenge -did not receive any replies at all to specific questions, eg checking out, where to store luggage if early. Had to call with WhatsApp for answers. Had trouble with self check in. Message on screen stated something like “check in is invalid” to call a number, instead of saying the room isn’t ready. Caused unnecessary anxiety and concern."
