"Fantastisch hotel, gerund door een Peruaanse familie. Echte aanrader. Goed gelegen, en gevestigd in een mooi historisch koloniaal huis. De service tijdens ons verblijf was uitmuntend. We hebben dat op een bijzondere manier mogen ervaren. Zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij, en veel extra hulp toen mijn vrouw ziek werd. Nog zeer veel dank daarvoor! We hopen nog eens terug te komen naar Arequipa. We zullen dan zeker weer een kamer boeken bij El Balcon."

"Even though the hotel was virtually empty (maybe total 4 people/groups), I was pretty disappointed with the first room offered. There is a separate section to the hotel (newer. not shown in the photos). The room was ground floor (though in the garden) and was not very impressive (unless you are purely looking for a bed to sleep in) and slightly musty (I have asthma). After asking for another room because of my asthma I was taken into the main building (in the photos) and given a much bigger room...

Grande bâtisse coloniale à quelques pâtés de maison du centre historique. Le jardin est super agréable.     "Loved our stay here! We were blocks from the main plaza and central to everything we needed. Arequipa was a great location to take a tour from to explore the Colca Canyon area. The town was wonderful, always lots going on to see. The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast included on their rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the city. Lots of variety at breakfast. Rooms comfy and exceptionally clean. Would 100% recommend"
