Beautiful hotel within walking distance of the town centre, excellent and helpful staff, lovely pool and good breakfast. Only downside is that there were many gaps between the windows and door fittings meaning that mosquitos were able to get in at night.

We had a really nice stay. The room was very big and clean. Breakfast was good, but pretty basic. The only downside, were the dogs around the hotel, they were very loud at night. Jesus was super helpfull, giving us a map, with all the good places!

Wonderful stay, will come back!

The hotel was accommodating of our needs. Jesus and the rest of the team were wonderful deliverers of prompt and courteous service. The courtyard was breathtaking and would love to come back again.

Very friendly staff who gave us a lot of good recommendations on restaurants and things to do around the area. Also dealt with issues promptly. Feels very safe to walk around. There are chickens that make noise during the day or night but once you get used to it it's not that bad.

Lovely hidden gem

Refugio 41 is a magical place! There are only 6 rooms, which we loved very much. There is a great breakfast which you get served at a large table (we got to know other lovely hotel guests during the breakfast). Although located in the city you feel like you're staying in the jungle. Jesús was an amazing host!

The street is busy, noisy and messy but step inside and the house is old and dignified. Our welcome was warm and relaxed. The rooms are in a few outbuildings surrounding a small refreshing pool and landscaped patio. It is so peaceful! Breakfast, served outside, was simple and delicious, tho coffee was weak. The place would have been perfect but for the neighborhood and no comfortable chairs for sitting outside to enjoy the setting.

Positive aspects: the receptionist was nice and helpful in explaining the surroundings. Room was nice/ nothing too special. Negative points: no choice for the breakfast. They were serving one predetermined plate for everyone. The tea served was totally tasteless.

Oasis in Valladolid

This hotel is an absolute gem! From the exterior you wouldn’t imagine that hidden inside is a small oasis. The hotel looks exactly like the photos on the website. There are 3 buildings with upper and lower rooms that either come with a balcony or patio. All of the rooms have a hammock and face the pool in the center of the hotel. The pool was deeper than expected, about 5 feet, and kept very clean. Inside our room was simple but comfortable furnishings, and most importantly air conditioning! We stayed in June and the AC was perfect. The toilet, shower and electricity all worked great and there was a hairdryer provided in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low but that’s to be expected. We were more than comfortable and couldn’t believe how beautiful the exterior of the hotel was. But the best part of our stay was the incredible service provided by the staff! Jesus especially was the best! Our Spanish is limited and he took a lot of time to explain where to find many good restaurants and things to do in the area in English. He also helped us find a tour guide for our last minute trip to Chichén Itzá and nearby cenotes. He provided incredible and friendly service. Breakfast was also made from scratch every morning by the nicest hotel staff. It usually came with juice or coffee, eggs, toast and fruit. The location is also within 10 minutes walk of the ado bus or a short taxi ride. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Valladolid!

Nos fue muy bien. Pero no tienen la privacidad de la información de los huéspedes que se hospedan ya que cualquier persona se puede hacer pasar por algún familiar y preguntar detalles de alguna reserva o alguien y les dan toda la información que les piden, es por ello que te meten en grandes problemas como me pasó hoy. Por brindar información personal de mi reserva a otra persona que ni conozco. Cuidado con este tipo de personas. No recomiendo quedarse ya aunque el lugar es bonito y acogedor para pasarla en amigos.

Schönes, ruhiges Hotel und schön angelegt. Frühstück war auch gut und die Infos von der Rezeption waren auch super. Kein TV im Zimmer und leider hatten wir auch nur mäßig warmes Wasser. Der Weg ins Zentrum ist etwas weiter aber zur Lichtshow am Kloster war es nicht weit. Schönes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück in Valladolid!!!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Refugio 41. Das Zimmer war sauber, schön und praktisch eingerichtet und die Anlage war klein und schnuckelig. Durch die Hotelgröße hat sich alles sehr persönlich und liebevoll angefühlt: von dem frisch zubereiteten Frühstück bis zu den kleinen Unterhaltungen und Tipps vom Host. Das Hotel passt auch wunderbar zu Valladolids Vibe!
