Very nice location, peaceful and staff were very friendly.
Ample free parking, on site eating options and a swimming pool.
Room was really clean and included aircon.
Would stay again.
This place is a peaceful oasis right on the Camino path coming into Valenca. Great price, lovely grounds along a small creek, friendly attentive staff. Would definitely stay here again!
Love love this property. We had a spacious very comfortable and clean room on the most beautiful property. We ended up staying an extra day. Highly recommend this stay!!!
I stayed here as part of my Camino from Porto. Though pictures of a place might be deceiving, I found a little piece of paradise in this place. The room was big and comfortable, good tempered, and the bed was just what I needed after a long hike. The staff is super friendly, and most of them very fluent in English which is a great help.
The restaurant at the place is another chapter - great food, amazing service as well.
This is one of the places I would love to show family and friends.
Beautiful location in a quiet area just outside Valença. Since their restaurant was closed Diogo drove 4 of us out to a restaurant for dinner and his family joined us. He also drove other guests to a Mercado. A true gem of a find.
A lovely surprise in Valenca. The reception folks were very helpful. My room was delightful and comfortable. The hotel is in a rural area. The restaurant is top notch. I will come back.
The hotel has excellent reception staff, and they have lots of information about the hotel and the surrounding area—quick check-in.
Good room, although very small. The toilet is in a very small space, so you have to open the door to move around. There is no privacy at all, as the enclosure is made of glass, and at night the light turns on throughout the room. It is a good shower, although there are no hooks to hang towels. There is no minibar, which is very bad. The furniture on the terrace was dirty and had to be cleaned before using it. Breakfast is charged separately, which is bad in a rural area, where there is nothing nearby or other options. And it is not varied, for the price they charge. The manager/owner is very helpful. The hotel is good, with a few attractions.
The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. Sadly, there was no little fridge, and the restaurant guy in charge was extremely discourteous initially saying that we needed a reservation, even if there were only about 3 tables used. The food was not that good either. The girl that was our waitress was the only real nice thing. If we were not in the middle of nowhere in this hotel, we would have gone to have dinner outside the hotel.
Complete absence of service or hospitality. I will be asking for a refund.
Service? Nope
Front desk open 3-7pm. 24 hours, 3 different contacts…? Nope. I called no less than 15 times to each of the 3 proffered contact numbers when locked out of my room- no answer or call rejected.
One of the numbers- on the official property literature and signs outside reception- actually said to me: “ I have nothing to do with this hotel. I have no idea why my number is there!”
After an hour of standing out in the cold- exhaisted from a day of walking and trying desperately to get thru to someone, a young woman called back to say she’d been “teaching yoga and had her phone turned off…” after all of that, it took the front desk manager 20 hours to contact me. His response? “I’m Sorry, I fell into a really really deep sleep”
Next morning- no staff but an incredibly
Surly girl in a restaurant who looked at us with disdain when we eyed the breakfast buffet. We were told that we weren’t welcome for breakfast, but she could make us coffee- which she charged for. When we asked where we Could leave our bags for luggage service she responded with an “I don’t Know” and Gave us another dirty look.
Dreadful Service!! Not just bad but absolutely terrible.
Advertised Jacuzzi? nope. “It’s 3000 liters. We cannot heat it for so few people”
Restaurant? Nope- closed Mondays.
Pilgrims massage? Nope, not available.
Wine? Nope- even though there was a very extensive cellar on view meters away.
Beware!
